Great hotel, Located within walking distance of everything down town. Windows are thin for those early morning trash collection. Other than that, rustic old style hotel.

"Who is Lucia?"
I'm a graphic designer and I come from the SF bay area. I'd like to think that I have an eye for design and a decent level of visual IQ. This place obviously has great people of Oregon who I really appreciate coming from a buzzy town. Friendly, courteous, and they make you feel at home. The lobby is why I picked this place. It's retro, colorful, and full of untold stories (that I've never heard of, anyway). It's very cool. The rooms also have the stylings of someone very fun. The sheets are top-notch, love the throw, and the snacks are spot-on. The cool thing is they throw in Portland's own brand of coffee and candy, and it just has a coolness about them. Oh, and there's a "for him/her" box of goodies for when you both want to get down. Lovely place, I don't think I would like any other choice because it just fit the idea of 'Portland' in my mind. Thanks all.

"Great Getaway Hotel"
My husband and I️ enjoyed a nice little 4-day getaway to Portland and very much enjoyed the coziness and hospitality of the Hotel Eastlund. We would definitely stay again! Super friendly staff, the rooms are amazing (SUPER clean, high quality amenities and finishing touches, comfy beds, excellent bathroom, super new and updated), close to everything your heart (and belly) may desire downtown. The hotel itself is also super new and modern with a great restaurant and cute little bakery. We came in the fall purposefully and could not have enjoyed our time more! What a beautiful city and state, and perfect fall weather! Highly recommended!

"Nice historical hotel in a great location "
I had a nice 3-day stay 11/16-11/19. The staff are friendly and helpful and the mezzanine area and tea room are great places to hang out after a long day of exploring Portland. I really liked the location of the hotel. The Cacao Shop that is in the hotel is totally worth a visit too. Try any of the drinking chocolates. They are decadent. My only complaint is that the toilet in my bathroom (room 914) emitted a foul odor (due to no fault of my own) and it gurgled every time someone in a different room flushed their toilet. I couldn't tell if the flusher was above my room or next to my room. It was problematic at night when I was trying to sleep.

    Explore Portland

So hip it inspires parody, Portland has become synonymous with alternative cool. Fortunately, the left-of-center attitude, dedication to green spaces and off-the-charts-amazing food and beer that draw people here keep getting better. Do your part to keep it weird by eating maple bacon doughnuts one minute and cheering on naked bike riders the next.

But Portland is more than just an urban freak fest. Head to the Pearl District where young professionals sip happy-hour cocktails next to boutique art galleries, or stroll Forest Park and the city’s famous rose gardens. Just outside city limits is the Columbia Gorge, a magical, moss-covered fairyland of massive waterfalls, walking trails and vistas over the mighty Columbia River. Slightly farther, pyramid-shaped Mount Hood beckons skiers, hikers and anglers.

Yes, it rains a lot in winter, but with an abundance of second-run movie theaters, live music venues and Powell’s Books (the world’s largest independent book store), there’s plenty to do. Summers are glorious – you’ll see lots of tattoos when the hibernators emerge to enjoy the weather.
