"Walkable to all kinds of stuff"
Like the location. Had some issues with housekeeping throwing away some personal items. Also they knocked on door and woke us up on check out day. It was some street noise. At 330am a garbage truck was working. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel Rose rescued us from Airbnb! This hotel is centrally located to everything downtown; all is within walking distance. It's gorgeous and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The first night we thought we heard a banging noise and the staff did all they could to assure us - it even included a visit to our room to make sure we were fine for the night. Tremendous customer service. We'll happily stay again!

"Cute, comfy & central"
We enjoyed our one night stay. Rooms are nice, comfy beds, on the smaller side, but has everything you need. The downstairs bar is super cool, and the dining room looked great - we didn't get a chance to eat there. We liked how centrally located the hotel is to 23rd where we wanted to go for dinner and shopping. Also you can park on the street or the ramp across the street to save some money. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again.

"Nice Downtown Hotel"
I really enjoyed my experience at this hotel with one caveat - we couldn't control the heat. The first night there, it was so hot in our room that we almost left. I spoke with the front desk in the morning, and they explained that during that time of year (October), only hot air will come out of the vents. We were told to turn it off and open the window. They also gave us a small fan. We were ok with this, but if you do not want to hear the sounds of the city, it may be a problem for you. Other than that, I can't complain. Size-wise, for a city hotel I thought the room was really spacious. The staff was nice, but the valets were especially friendly and helpful. They were always willing to give us directions somewhere or tell us their opinions on local places. The hotel was centrally located in the Downtown area. We were within walking distance to Pioneer Square and a bunch of nice restaurants.

"Comfort for a bargain"
The room was spacious and well thought out. It had a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Breakfast was included as well as happy hour drinks, soup and salad. There was also a pool and gym. Not fancy, but well put together.

    Explore Portland

So hip it inspires parody, Portland has become synonymous with alternative cool. Fortunately, the left-of-center attitude, dedication to green spaces and off-the-charts-amazing food and beer that draw people here keep getting better. Do your part to keep it weird by eating maple bacon doughnuts one minute and cheering on naked bike riders the next.

But Portland is more than just an urban freak fest. Head to the Pearl District where young professionals sip happy-hour cocktails next to boutique art galleries, or stroll Forest Park and the city’s famous rose gardens. Just outside city limits is the Columbia Gorge, a magical, moss-covered fairyland of massive waterfalls, walking trails and vistas over the mighty Columbia River. Slightly farther, pyramid-shaped Mount Hood beckons skiers, hikers and anglers.

Yes, it rains a lot in winter, but with an abundance of second-run movie theaters, live music venues and Powell’s Books (the world’s largest independent book store), there’s plenty to do. Summers are glorious – you’ll see lots of tattoos when the hibernators emerge to enjoy the weather.
