"Nice older hotel close to Downtown sites."
Greeted by a very personable Front Desk person. The price point was great for the quality of the hotel. The Hotel is an older facility but is well maintained. The room was extremely clean and the bed was of high quality. The TV was very new with a great selection of free stations. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Gas light District, Little Italy, the Beach, and the Airport. There is a 7-11 a block away which very convenient. A very pleasant stay with a very personable young staff.

"Great location"
The Urban Boutique hotel is truly a great location and that is really the only reason I would recommend it. It's an older building so the rooms are miniscule, the sink is outside the shower and toilet (also tiny). The mattresses are cheap motel hard and the pillows feel like they are stuffed with cotton balls. If dilapidated charm appeals, the 2 small outdoor cafe tables, patched walls, intermittent Wi-Fi and bathroom light, and ragged towels will suit your fancy. When I got to my room, it was pitch black day and night bc of the huge construction tarps blocking the windows, not to mention the window AC unit that is super loud. It was like living in a closet. I complained, asked to be moved but they couldn't move me to a comparable room, noted the construction had been going on for 3 years and became defensive when I said the fact there was no natural light. I almost cancelled the rest of my stay but couldn't find another hotel room less than $300/night on such short notice. Anyway, I would consider staying again ONLY bc of the location and it being a known entity. If you have high hopes for a chic, updated, comfortable hotel though, they will be horribly dashed.

"Nice hotel and close to the beach."
Very welcoming staff. The best I have to say. Our room was comfy but way too small for two. Can use upgrades overall. The bathroom needs to be upgraded for sure... one thing that stood out was, the bath towel, there was only ONE and it had a huge stain of blood. As for there breakfast, I loved how they had plenty of good choices to choose from. 👍🏻

"Good hotel in San Diego Gaslamp district"
This hotel had all the amenities one would expect. The memorabilia was very interesting too. The room enough plugs that were easily accessible so if you have a ton of tech, no problem. The front desk and bell staff were very good. However there was supposed to be a band playing in the bar and they were encouraging people to show up through text. When we arrived the band was late and the staff wasn't terribly helpful. This was just a small thing though. If you wish to be in the middle of everything in downtown San Diego it is a good place. It is very close to Petco and a fifteen minute brisk walk to the waterfront. You can almost throw a rock at the convention centre too. It is close to the Old Town Trolley as well as the light rail.

"Nice Hotel, get a room by the Elevator"
When we arrived we found out we at the WRONG tower, the other one was at leas 1/2 mile away. They let us check in where we were. The halls are VERY long and I was in a walker, and we walked and walked to get to the second to the last room. We did not feel like walking all the way back to the front desk to get another room. I spoke the manager the next day. She removed the resort fees. Very nice grounds and nice view from rooms

Point Loma is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Point Loma, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Point Loma hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
