The hotel is great for its central location. Relax by the pool, de stress with the steam/sauna/spa pool and enjoy friendly waiters service. The room was comfortable, but would have preferred a pool view instead of noisy main road. Carmen greeted us upon arrival and she truly made us feel very welcome. Take her advice and enjoy the excursion up to the mountains with wine tasting and lunch.

Checkin was a debacle. It took 15 minutes to get my room. Only it wasn't a sea view. So another 20 minutes to get that right. They charge to use the safe in your room which is idiotic. And no Internet in rooms at all. Only very insecure wireless in the lobby. It's 2013 and they can't buy a few wireless routers?? The buffet was good, room was big, views over the dunes good. The general area is as characterless as the rest of Playa del Ingles. Without the dune views from the room I wouldn't spend the extra to stay here

Really enjoyed our stay at Seaside Sandy Beach and their food are good both breakfast and dinner having stayed half board. Reception Staff and the Chefs are super friendly as are some restaurant staffs. There is one lady at the reception (sorry I didn't catch her name) who was always helpful and friendly. It was for our early birthday celebration and they gave us a very nice modern room on level 9 which we enjoyed very much. Thank you so much! Beware: google map misled us to the wrong street so end up going uphill and then up some stairs with our suitcase before we found the main entrance.

My wife and I stayed for 1 week on all inclusive basis during the last week of Oct.15 . This was our first time at Gran Canaria as we normally stay in Fuerteventura. On arrival we were well received and provided with chilled cava, which was a nice touch. Food at all times was excellent for choice and quality. Waiting staff were very attentive. There is an option to eat inside the restaurant or outside in the patio area which has a slate water feature wall. There is an excellent roof top panoramic chill out bar with plenty soft seats, sofas, tables and chairs set out in pairs for couples, comfortable bali beds, deck chairs and plenty of normal sun loungers, parasols and side tables all set on synthetic grass. There is also a very good cocktail bar on the ground floor which had entertainment every night. As regards alcohol, what set this hotel out from a lot of other Canary Island all inclusive hotels, was that many premium brands were offered as part of the all inclusive deal rather than cheaper local brands There is an outside pool at ground level with snack bar, but we never used this facility. Hotel is close to promenade and beach, although beach is disappointing compared to Fuerteventura beaches. Only issue we experienced was with the rooms, the first room we rejected due to extensive mould on bathroom ceiling. The next room had an issue with flooding, when the shower was used (a pool of water would migrate under the door into the bedroom), I complained 3 times to no avail

I am completely allergic to little "staff shows" as a general rule. I find them kitsch and boring. But I was at the Playa Bonita shows every night they had them, and we gave them standing ovations. Kayla with his cross dressing Beyoncé / Cabaret shows, backed by Bella and the others were awesome.
I have to say that compared to many hotels, the pool area is fantastic. Huge, with a separate show, lounge, eating areas and a beautiful view of the mountains the photos on the site are not doctored, they are spot on.
Last but not least, the food was really good. It's not Michelin star food, but for buffet food, the taste was excellent.
The only thing I could fault them for is the wine in the all inclusive package. For a wine producing country, having that grape juice passed as wine is a crime. Stick to the excellent bubbly that come straight from the bottle or the acceptable tap beer and you'll be happy though.

Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff. Close to yumbo, cita and kasbah shopping centres. Small gym and only open 8-10pm. Would have been better if the gym was open longer hours. Lots of sun loungers. Roof top jacuzzi gets very busy. Have to pay for safe €4 daily. Close to bus stops. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Pocket Guide: Gran Canaria Playa del Ingles Hotels
Playa del Inglés (literally “Beach of the English”) is Gran Canaria’s busiest tourist resort. Despite the name, its superb long golden sands are popular with many north European nationalities. There is no single focus to this man-made resort; instead it clusters around 11 shopping centres. The island and Playa del Inglés in particular, is a magnet for gay holidaymakers; its heady nightlife ranges from drag cabaret to sleek upmarket clubs.
