We booked last-minute, and didn't know what to expect, but were happily surprised to find that everything was brand new, and designed to a high standard. We really liked our large, light, airy modern suite and its surroundings. Suites are in blocks of four, each with their own terrace, set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, already growing well, and secluded from the main complex and any ankle-biters. Great for couples and perfect for us! Loved the fact that we could eat uninterrupted as well upstairs in the El Mirador restaurant, a bit sterile perhaps, but will be lovely to eat out on their terrace when the weather is better. Bar up there quite cool, and could be a bit of a scene.
Sadly It was very windy, which cut the temperature and meant that it was too cold to swim in the private Suites lap pool (unheated), and very bracing even in the heated pool complex, which is beautifully designed. The gym is small but well equipped, and the spa is lovely. A massage was thorough, excellent and good value. On the whole the staff worked really hard to get everything running smoothly.
We had a great week and would happily go back in warmer weather.

Lovely premium room, bottle of wine water and fruit on arrival, the wine was nice unlike the red AI at dinner. Food offered a nice selection. Lots of renovation ongoing, should be better soon. AI drinks are not worth the money the beer was all that was anything like decent. The food hall wasn't open to try the other dining options. Adults only pool area was lovely and offers free pool towels and access if in the premium rooms, Balinese beds all need replacing though as they have seen better days.

Good location with sea view from the comfortable rooms. We caught the beginning of half-term and it was extremely busy in the restaurant and felt quite crowded - not particularly relaxing. Pools could be quite busy.

We only had one night here. It was the most comfortable bed ever and the apartment was modern and spotless. Smiling and helpful staff and good quality and selection of food for breakfast and evening meal.

My family and I spent 5 days here. If you are looking for some peace and quiet - then this is the place. Staff constantly check if you are happy. The restaurant staff are brilliant - even on Christmas Day they were working with a smile. Chefs are great too.
Kids liked the jacuzzi. Two areas they could improve on is having a heated swimming pool and maybe a bit more fun for kids (I had two boys - 7 and 11 years old).
Overall, fully recommend this place to anyone!!!

The original port and fishing village maintain an agreeable low-key buzz with good bars and restaurants, but it is the beaches that make Playa Blanca famous. West of the centre, on past the new and expanding fashionable Marina Rubicón, and a clutch of luxury hotels, lie the island’s finest golden white coves, known collectively as the Papagayo beaches. Three small cafes are the only development in this protected area.
