Pocket Guide: Pittsburgh Pittsburgh International Airport Hotels
First opening in 1992, the PIT measures 2.1 million square feet and occupies 10,000 acres. It’s no surprise, then, that more than 11 million travelers pass through the airport each year. Connecting to Pittsburgh via the Fort Pitt Tunnel, the airport is less than a half-hour’s drive from downtown Pittsburgh.
