Pleasant and helpful staff on check-in and for the rest of our brief 2 night's weekend stay. Our room on the fourth floor, to the rear of the hotel, was large and comfortable and, despite an 18 birthday party in the bar area, surprisingly quiet! The adjacent parking was free to residents and we were delighted when told by reception we could park all day on Sunday at no cost as we enjoyed a full day at the festival in the Cathedral grounds.

I arrived very late in the evening but the staff were there and warmly greeted me. They offered several suggestions for the next morning taxi etc. offered to carry my bags to my room.
The next morning I had the opportunity to view the surrounds - absolutely lovely. Again staff very friendly
The bacon at breakfast had obviously been under the lamp for a while and some of the woodwork in the corridors needed a lick of paint but other than that I would recommend to anyone going to Peterborough.

The hotel was better than expected. Very friendly staff, they even stopped by to see how are stay was and asked if we needed anything. Very clean, wonderful breakfast, and lots of areas to just sit and relax with a cup of coffee (or cocktail if you prefer). Will definitely stay again !

My husband left his gasses - Erica on reception packed them carefully and posted them to London so we had them before we returned to Norway on Tuesday.
This was excellent service - and my offer to cover costs was refused.
I was impressed.

Sitting on the banks of the River Nene in the flatlands of East Anglia, Peterborough has been an important settlement since the Bronze Age. The Norman cathedral is one of the finest examples of its type in the country. The town's museum is a good option for kids, stunning Burghley House to the north of the city is a popular excursion, and beer drinkers flock to the annual CAMRA festival in August.
