The location of the hotel was perfect for our commitment to attend The Perth Convention Centre and I enjoyed the close proximity to King's Park, although didn't tackle the steep hill up from the Hotel! We did go into the CBD on many occasions across the bridge over the freeway. The free bus service was used and we walked to most places in the city and then hired a car to visit friends out of the city. Overall a most satisfactory visit to Perth.

Pocket Guide: Perth Perth Central Business District Hotels
The country's fourth largest city and booming capital of Western Australia is sprawling, but downtown Perth proper is bounded by the Swan River and the Graham Farmer Freeway and easily covered on foot. Museums, galleries, shopping malls, and pedestrian precincts characterise the CBD, while parkland wanders along the riverfront. The downtown area also encompasses East Perth, a former industrial zone now converted to residential streets, and Northbridge, a restaurant and nightlife hotspot that is also home to Perth's Cultural Centre.
