My friend was pulling in the chair at the dinner table and the seat was a bit loose, well he ended up with his finger getting a bad pinch. The bleeding went on for a while. The staff at the desk were wonderful, took the report and administered first-aid. I believe the chair is fixed. I hope. If it happened to a small child, it could be a lot worse they might loose a finger the space was small enough. The incident in no way way any fault of the resort, and it didn't lesson the experience. I could happen at home. People please just be aware of the loose seats.. Thanks.

The comfort, cleanliness and amenities are significantly better than the first impressions this "retro" motel gives from the outside. It is remarkably quiet, given the location and its own vintage. Given the summer popularity of this part of the island, the value for money is decent. I'd definitely stay here again.

Decent clean facility nearby to beach. Small bedrooms and only one bathroom in our 2 bedroom suite but spacious common area. Convenient location. Laundry facilities on-site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cons: Basic and dated decor but functional. Overall, not the fanciest resort around but served our needs well.

Parksville is a popular escape for residents of Vancouver and tourists alike, and is blessed with miles of gorgeous sandy beaches and leafy parks. Sheltered from the worst of the Pacific weather by Vancouver Island’s mountains, it plays host to the annual Parksville Beachfest: an international qualification event for the world sand-sculpting championships.
