This was a last minute decision and choice to vacation on Vancouver Island. It was also our first time. My wife initially selected a hotel in the downtown Nanaimo area but as soon as I saw the Beach Club pictures I was hooked. Our suite was very pricey but we went with it anyway. Our unit was on the ground floor at the corner. The view of the beach was breathtaking...if we ever go back, I want unit 110 again. One pet peeve was not enough underground parking for the building...the overflow was a dirt and gravel lot off to the side...overall..very, very pleased!!

Decent clean facility nearby to beach. Small bedrooms and only one bathroom in our 2 bedroom suite but spacious common area. Convenient location. Laundry facilities on-site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cons: Basic and dated decor but functional. Overall, not the fanciest resort around but served our needs well.

Good motel for the price. Room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. The quality of maintenance could have been better, particularily in the bathroom. Overall happy with our visit and would use this motel again.

The comfort, cleanliness and amenities are significantly better than the first impressions this "retro" motel gives from the outside. It is remarkably quiet, given the location and its own vintage. Given the summer popularity of this part of the island, the value for money is decent. I'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, but our room did not have air conditioning. I didn't think to ask about it when booking, I just assumed it would have it. Other than that the rating would have been excellent all the way through.

Parksville is a popular escape for residents of Vancouver and tourists alike, and is blessed with miles of gorgeous sandy beaches and leafy parks. Sheltered from the worst of the Pacific weather by Vancouver Island’s mountains, it plays host to the annual Parksville Beachfest: an international qualification event for the world sand-sculpting championships.
