We arrived here after staying elsewhere in Dubai and received a very warm welcome. We had booked a lagoon access room and were given one very close to the main pool which was convenient. The only downside was our balcony and the lagoon on this side of the hotel had no sun so I would recommend asking for one with sun if you plan to use the lagoon a lot! The weather was mixed when we were there so this also affected it!
Rooms very spacious, bathroom lovely, would prefer much brighter lights in the bathroom but otherwise spotless and modern! Staff were excellent and very friendly! Breakfast choice wide and good for all nationalities and families with young children! We tried the Thai restaurant and enjoyed it! Family pool was good and access to beach good! We enjoyed the buggies also!

Everything you expect from a 5 star hotel and then some. Food was amazing and SO many options. Even the in room dining was exceptional and perfect after a long flight, not to mention available all day and night. We choose the ocean view and were so happy we did. The beach view actually looks onto the construction going on across the palm frond, so not as nice as you would expect. Pool was great, the water park was really cool (although undoing going yearly maintenance so lots of rides were closed), and the staff was very helpful. Only complaint is that they didn't have bags in trash cans (so a totally minor thing). We will definitely stay here again when the kids are a bit older.

From the moment we checked in it was obvious to see that the hotel had a very relaxed and personable feeling. Our room in The Manor House was gorgeous with a very large balcony. Separate shower and bath facilities. The room was cleaned every day and housekeeping visiting twice daily to replenish any items. The staff were fantastic - very helpful, always smiling and very courteous. They couldn't do enough for you. Yet if you wanted complete privacy , this is the place to go. We ate at all three of the restaurants and the food was awesome! They are all so different but the menus, variety and service were fantastic in all three. I can't think of a negative to say about the hotel, the staff or the food. They all should be so proud to be providing the best service to their visitors with always a smile.

This is a 5 star hotel true to its rating! We have stayed in 5 star resorts around the world and this one is the first in the last 7 years that actually surpassed our expectations. We weren't offered any upgrades and received absolutely no special treatment or perks that would make us feel this way, it was just witnessing the consistency in friendly helpful service of all guests mixed with the overall ambiance and style of the property that completely solidified this as a true luxury 5-star experience. My only constructive feedback would be to allow the pools/beach to be open just an hour longer (they close at 6pm which is a little too early if you are looking to relax after a day of site seeing). Beautiful grounds and design, oversized comfortable rooms, and great service and amenities. From a picky world traveler that knows luxury, this hotel is a gem! Keep it up Sofitel, this is how you do it.

Customer service and great facilities. Such friendly staff who really looked after you - Jinesh and Taimur at the pool, Negii for keeping our room beautifully and Ayu in the spa. We can definitely recommend this hotel and hope to stay again.

The hotel is very quiet and therefore not much of a vibe in the restaurants and bars. The building sites either side woke us up each morning. The swimming pool was excellent and the cocktails from the Beach Bar were good. breakdast was very expensive for our family of 5 so self-catered each morning.
