We loved the spacious villa with full kitchen, laundry, and two separate bedrooms. The pool complex was a lot of fun for the kids and the easily accessible beach was very nice. With that said, there are a few things the Hammock falls short on. We have traveled to many upscale resorts and are always made to feel like we are top priority. This was lacking at the Hammock. It feels like the pool area staff is more against you than with you. Probably because their only priority is selling food and drink(no outside food or drink allowed) during hours that are convenient to them. The food and bar at the pool close at dinner time. This forces guests to have to eat at the pricy restaurants or order room service with a 20% convenience fee. This was upsetting for us because some of our best trips always involved extra long pool days where we ate dinner by the pool and then kept swimming until the sun went down. Additionally, at most resorts I notice someone testing the pool water throughout the day for proper balance. I did not see this at the Hammock. In fact, the lazy river was disgusting. It was full of bugs, leaves, clumps of hair, etc. It really needs to be cleaned more than once a day.
Overall, Hammock is a beautiful looking resort with nice amenities. With a few adjustments, I would call it a 4 star resort. As it is now, I consider it 3.5. Very good, but not exceptional.

"Off the Beaten Path - Nice Hotel - awkward local"
Very difficult to find with obscure signage. On motorbike, we struggled to find this Hotel, which was behind the Home Depot. Fitness facility was dirty and under construction. Ice machines didn't work!

Absolutely NO complaints about this hotel. From check in to check out, we had a wonderful experience. Everyone was 100% friendly and helpful after our 1000 mile drive. We will definitely be staying there again in the near future....Hopefully.

We were locked into our room due to a lock malfunction. The fire department had to break into our door. The manager graciously gave us 2 rooms for 2 nights at no charge. We were very pleased with them making it up to us.

A rapidly growing city, Palm Coast lies between Jacksonville and Melbourne on the Atlantic coast. Home to a booming economy, Palm Coast is a residential and business community. It also boasts the beautiful Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, a popular spot for picnickers. The gardens are well known for azaleas, camellias and roses.
