Arrived a bit early but the staff made every effort to get a room for me matching my reservation. Took awhile but the wait was worth it. The room was clean and neat. All the amenities were there for use. No problems other than a sticky door and some leftovers in the microwave. Not a big deal, the promised to look at the door and the microwave, was emptied. The hotel was easy in and out off the main highway. There were two fast food places and a filling station/convenience store close by. I did not do much shopping but I did go to Outdoor World and marvel at the milllions of items on sale. Followed that by eating at one of the best restaurants in Springfield, Hemmingway's on the upper floor.
The staff, no matter how obnoxious I was just smiled and carried on politely. OK I wasn't really oboxious but they could have treated me a lot worse Other hotels could take behavior lessens from this place, Stay there it has everything you need in a hotel!

We just needed one night and were leaving in the morning. The staff members were nice and even called my cell phone to tell me they found a bottle of my wife's medication before we had made it out of town. This isn't a trip we make with any regularity, but will probably stay here if we do.
The first impression could be better, because it's painted a dingy tan color that makes it not as appealing as the interior of the rooms. My wife was worried, but accepted it after we got in.

This is well worth the stay. The room was set up like it may have been in the 50s but with all the more modern comforts. It's a way to sort of get the feel of staying in an older hotel but everything is up to date including the HDTV, refrigerator. there was a table and two chairs. the bathroom was small but just fine and the pedestal sink was a cute touch along with the full tile treatment. If you are traveling Route 66, you owe it to yourself to stay here. There are many restaurants within a small radius.

Ozark sits in the southwest corner of the state, just south of Springfield. The city's historic business district is home to numerous antique and specialty stores, and the town's Ozark Square hosts a weekly farmers market with live music from April to October. During the summer months, the rodeo comes to Ozark, with seasonal bull rides bookending the main event.
