"very nice surprise!"
It is nicer than Baymont Inn. I love the bed and bed covers. It has hallways, not room doors that open to the parking lot

"The Old and the New - A mixed Bag"
This is a complex of two distinct construction periods - there is a number of rooms in your older typical outside-entry motel buildings. In front of that is a newer multi-story hotel. The complex is connected by covered walkways. Expedia assigned me to a handicapped room, in the old motel buildings (I'm not handicapped.), which I took, because they're usually larger and roomier than the standard motel room. Not this one. It was your typical old small motel room, made even smaller yet by the inclusion of a wardrobe in addition to the usual motel furnishings. The card key unlocked the door easily enough, but the door wouldn't open when I pushed on it. I finally resorted to an energetic shove with my shoulder to get the door open - this turned out to be the standard procedure for entering the room. I'm not quite sure how Best Western expected a disabled person to deal with this, but I could live with it. The next problem I discovered, however, sealed the fate of me bailing on this room - when I went to use the shower, I was at first pleased to find it was a hand-held shower, with an adjustable vertical column to change the height of the shower-head holder. The pleasure quickly evaporated when I discovered that the vertical grip on the shower-head holder no longer gripped, leaving the holder to quietly follow the laws of gravity and slip down to its lowest position, about a foot above the top of the bathtub. This whole setup was not working for me.

"clean, tidy, friendly, loved to relax in the pool"
I used to live in Mooresville and still own a rental property there, so when I come into town to check on the tenants and take care of business, we usually stay overnight so we're not rushed. The Days inn is situated perfectly for easy access to the interstate and eating establishments, and is like a little taste of luxury for an inexpensive price. The beds are amazing, the continental breakfast is superb, and the staff is always more than willing to go out of their way to make sure you're happy and well-taken-care of. The parking can get a little tight, but that's a small issue. We've stayed here multiple times and never been anything other than relaxed, pampered, and happy with our experience

"Nice hotel but could use some attention to detail."
Well, our reservation was booked with two rooms, when we arrived there was only one stating that Expedia had only reserved one though our reservation clearly had two. They then wanted us us pay for the second room while waiting for Expedia to refund our money on what we had already paid for. This experience took a good 2-3 hours and was finally resolved through Expedia taking care of our reservation with the hotel. When we got to our room, we had one towel and the ice machine on our floor was out. My husband and I let the front desk know on Monday, as of Thursday when we left the ice was still out. Throughout our stay we the simple things like coffee condiments were missing so we had to go downstairs to retrieve our coffee. These are all little things but with our visit getting off to such a rough start it did make a difference.

"Newer hotel, spacious rooms"
Newer hotel, rooms are very roomy. I would have used the extra space to make the bathroom at least 2-3 feet bigger. Odd layout of the lobby. Area has a Panera and many restaurants within walking distance. The cleaning staff must be using dirty rags or mops, strange urine/sour smell to the room when we walked in the 2nd day. Overall the staff is very nice.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
