The hotel is nice and well located. But breakfast is terrible. We skipped it everyday, went to Sturbucks for coffee instead. The aircon it is probably too small for the room because it takes ages to cool it down.

We thought we lost our room key and were afraid we would have to pay their (outrageous) $100 lost key fee. It turns out that one of the staff found it where we had sat outside the front door after coming back from dinner the first night and it must have dropped out of a pocket. But he did not tell any other staff or us about it until we were about to leave on the third day. It had our room number on it. It caused us to lose sleep over what to do. The first night when we realized it was gone as we got to our room, we thought we had left it in the room (the door locks when you shut it.) We got a spare key and searched the room and even went back to the restaurant where we had dinner to look. The next morning we left early and didn't see any staff. When we got back we borrowed a key again (and it turned out it was the one we lost.) The same person who found it gave it to us that time, but said nothing. It wasn't until we turned in that key and I said that it was the one we lost that the person came forward and FINALLY said he had found it. It had a yellow disc on it with the room number and did not look like other keys. That marred what should have been a delightful stay.
Also, both breakfasts were a real disappointment. We have stayed in many other bed and breakfasts though out the US and Europe and they were the worst breakfast we've ever had in a B&B/Inn..

"Wonderful place to stay . . . but a bit of a drive"
This was a wonderful place to stay. Walter and Laura are terrific hosts. It was like staying with family! The only issue we had was the drive to Yosemite Valley. It took over an hour to get to Yosemite Valley. I was the only driver in our group and I was exhausted from the difficult driving. Just a thought as you plan your visit . . .

Quite little lodge just out of down town Oakhurst, friendly staff, room came with mini fridge and microwave. Private bathroom. Overall nice place, but definitely not luxurious - but who needs luxury when you are going to spend most of your day in such an amazing park?! The hotel is a little far from Yosemite Valley - about 1.5 hours, but the drive is beautiful. Staying closer would be better if you can find a room, if not this is a great place to stay for a great price!

Good comfortable hotel. Over an hour from Yosemite valley. There are quite a few nice restaurants in the vicinity. Good for families.
Breakfast selection is good (waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, cereal, milk) but the same everyday. Some variation would be good.

"Nice location, you can walk to food destinations"
The hotel is about 35-40 minutes from Bass Lake and Yosemite. The lobby is very nice, remodeled, the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel is 4 stories. The walls are then so we could hear running, talking and doors closing. The room is VERY large! We had 2 queen beds, and table, cabinet space, separate bathroom and vanity, a kitchenette with small fridge, sink and vanity, microwave and coffee maker. The beds are very firm, the shower is nice and the water pressure is good, however the water looked dingy. We had a big TV but the stations were blurry. They say the have free wifi, but the WIFI SUCKS! The carpet at the entry was loose and coming up and our iron in our room was not useable as it had burned goo on it. We asked for another one but it was not much better. Overall, for a last minute (1 month before) reservation and a weekend stay, this was not a bad, but for a week stay, I would choose better.

We have stayed here for two nights with a group of 8 people (4 adults and 4 children), and we really enjoyed the time here. The house was really clean and spacious, and we were able to meet the owners right after we arrived. The house was prepared with everything you might need during the stay. The owner also had extra towels in the closets, which were really more than enough for everyone to use.

A large room/suite with an excellent bed in a tranquil location with a beautiful view. It is a minute drive from Oakhurst which happens to be a comfortable hub for restocking and eating while travelling around Yosemite. Lori and Chuck were wonderful hosts. They greatly assisted in the successful planning of the trip and showed a genuine interest. Per my request, the breakfasts were different each morning but always consistent in how great they were.
