"First time to Oahu."
I think the position and staff are this hotels best asset. The place is on the older side but very well maintained. I wouldn't stay here if I wanted a beautiful room and pool area. The sun lounges are old and pool small, BUT would you really come here to sit by a pool? The view from the restaurant/pool area is perfect. Both mountain and ocean views. Super close to an amazing beach that caters for everyone. Safe and clean. The money we saved on accommodation was well spent on tours and dining.

"boutique experience "
Such attention to detail is rare these days. This hotel has everything you need for any kind of stay. The decor is beautiful and so well thought out. Amentities are not normally something that I use willingly, The Surf Jack does them well. Staff have great recommendations and truely make you feel at home without it being false. It's not often that I will return to a hotel just to go to the restaurant but I will be dining at Mahina and Suns next time I am in Hawaii. The daily Coffee is not only delicious but a really welcoming touch each morning.

I love this hotel. It's so close to everything from shopping, eating areas, and the beach. I love the adult pool and the Lawson store that is conveniently located inside the hotel. I will definitely be coming back. See you next year!

Ala Moana Hotel by AirPads

410 Atkinson Drive, Honolulu - Map
"Careful booking hotels with Expedia"
When I arrived, a bathroom lightbulb was burnt out, I would have to pay $25 to have my room cleaned (I was staying 6 nights) and there was no pen/notepad or tourism info in the room. Apparently when booking Ala Moana Hotel with Expedia I was booking rooms OWNED BY A THIRD PARTY (Airpads) which offers rooms to Expedia on the cheap. It took 2 days to get the lughtbulb replaced, with a bulb so big the cover wouldn't go back on, and then a 3rd day to get the right bulb. Plus, every call to Airpads was charged 75 cents by the hotel, plus the hotel added $135 of arrival charges for some sort of fee that Expedia did not collect. Wierd.

"Within walking to beach. Nice area and some shops"
The hotel is downtown, walking to beach for fireworks etc. Shops not large ones, okay to look around. I HOP next door . We would stay there again. Have to take bus or whatever to get elsewhere. Long way from airport.

"Nice Mid-level Hotel"
Staff is nice, location is perfect, room is a bit small but not uncomfortable. It was quite cozy and had enough room. I ordered an ocean view room but I wouldn't consider my room ocean view, more like partial because of the trees in the way and the angle of the balcony.

"We love this place!"
The first time we came to Hawaii was for our honeymoon 7 years ago; we stayed at the Ilikai. We were impressed by the views, the size of the room, the staff, the location - just everything was perfect for us. Since that time we have stayed at other hotels but yet none compare to this one. We love the new upgrades they have done since then - very modern and clean! We picked this hotel because of the kitchen and the ability to safe some money by cooking our own meals. If you go, make sure you stay on a Friday night with the room facing Diamond Head because the Hilton puts on a firework show - that is a sure way to start your vacation off right! The staff is helpful, the rooms were cleaned by wonderful housekeepers; just an overall perfect place to be!

Oahu Island is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Oahu Island, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Oahu Island hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
