We were very pleased with this nostalgic modern hotel. Breakfast was included and really yummy. Room was unique, vintage and modern combined. My husband loved the fire pits outside, made it more relaxing, felt like we were camping. Lots of great places to check out walking distance and we had a great time at the barn bar with the live band entertainment at night. Also enjoyed their dinner.

I first called the location that I was going to check in late 1:30 - 2AM the agent on the phone said she will note it for the evening staff. When I arrive late 2am as planned the desk attended was actually at the desk and awake and had my info right there. Gave me directions to the elevator informed me time frame breakfast is served. I got into the room and very pleased extremely clean in excellent repair everything I needed especially the very comfortable bed with clean fresh linens.

Called the front desk to say we'd be a little late so checking in wasn't a big to do. The lot was pretty well full most nights but the hotel never got terribly noisy and we generally had room to eat breakfast. The choices are standard fare, not real exciting but warm and filling and as nutritious as you care to make it.
The room was well appointed and comfortable. A half-wall and arched soffit keeps the room feeling open while separating the 'awaking' and 'sleeping' areas. The air handler seemed to work a little better after the power surges form the late night thunderstorm our first night; previously the 'low' setting for the fan didn't perform well.
Spent most of our time out with my sister; did a couple naturey hikes, saw some history, ate a lot of potato salad, coleslaw, a variety of beans, plus slow cooked and smoked meats.

As a high-tech incubator, Austin’s northwest fringes give credence to its nickname of “Silicon Hills.” Here, IBM conducts research on microprocessors, while The University of Texas provides seed money and space for promising technologies. Many tech vendors also operate in the area’s office parks. Nearby on Research Boulevard, the Arboretum at Great Hills melds shopping with Austin’s lush terrain.
