This was our second time to stay at this hotel and it proved to be as pleasant as before.
Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable. Great access to shopping and transportation.
The only problem this time was that many children were staying on the same floor as we were. There was running up and down the halls, loud talking, laughing, all of which discomforted our expected peaceful stay.
Forgot to mention to the staff, but our coffee maker did not work either.
Please do not let this hotel deteriorate. It is a potential gem.

There was no way anyone would shower in what was provided. And the shower head dripped hot water all night. We complained and they gave us half off the room rate. Bed was clean and comfy. Air conditioner worked great.

We booked this hotel through Expedia not realizing they had a mandatory $65 charge for any cancellation, no matter how much notice you gave them. We realized within an hour of booking that the accommodation was nowhere near where we wanted to be. After attempting to contact the office, we tried Expedia customer service and they could not reach the hotel either. It took the hotel, until the middle of the following day to respond to our request and they refused to wave their fee under any circumstances, so we decided we would stay there anyway, not wanting to lose the money.
The rooms are all cute, cozy and ours was very quiet and clean. The back yard garden area was peaceful and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The whole house is very quiet and peaceful.
The staff upon arrival were nice but the whole feel is awkward. Breakfast is served at a large communal table, so you're kind of forced to make small talk with strangers At 8-9 o'clock in the morning. Breakfast, while nicely done was really lunch or dinner. The main course was Sea bass with risotto. I just don't see the point. How about eggs or pancakes or something normal?
Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation but would only suggest it to people who are interested in that style of service and realize their no cancellation policy.

North Vancouver is the mountain-backed area directly across the Burrard Inlet from downtown Vancouver. The area is a shipping and tourist center, and offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. It is home to Grouse Mountain, a year-round mountain recreation park. Visitors can access the mountain's 1,110m (3,642-feet) summit via the The SkyRide gondola, or on foot via the “Grouse Grind,” a near-vertical trail.
