The Whitehall Hotel is conveniently located near Michigan Avenue and to wonderful restaurants. It is very clean, has a very friendly and helpful staff! It has a wonderful restaurant on the main floor of the hotel. We always enjoy eating breakfast there! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a lot for their money.

I stay here four or five times a year and Red Roof Inn is always my first choice. I've never had a negative issue. The staff is always friendly and courteous, the room clean. There are markets nearby. The general area is very safe and quiet. The Chicago Botanic Gardens are close. Trader Joe's is two miles away. The room is comfy. Hot water is readily available. It's perfect!

Hotel changed name between date of booking and arrival. Interesting hotel (in a good way). Offered upgrade to a king business room on arrival. Asked ahead for a quiet room and got one. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is gorgeous and has 2 great bars and a beautiful restaurant. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. I was traveling with my husband and 2 children and the television in the living area did not work. I had hoped it would be fixed or replaced before our stay was up, but it wasn't addressed. I also had a bit of trouble with house keeping leaving us enough towels. We kept getting only 2 bath towels for the 4 of us and had to ask for more every day. Rooms could also use a set of wine glasses and wine opener.

We had an amazing stay - we live in town and stayed just one night for our anniversary. They were so accommodating for our small dog, everyone was extremely friendly overall. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable, great amenities. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite for being Expedia Gold members. The only downside one might come across is that the mini-fridge was, well, mini and I can't recall if there was a microwave but I don't think so. So if you're staying longer, you might want something with more of a kitchen. We didn't need that though, and I would definitely stay again.
