The room and staff were exceptional. The room was set up to be romantic with a in room bath/jaccuzi, candles, cd player for music, adjustable lighting and a very large comfortable 4 poster bed.
You preorder your breakfast and they deliver it on time to your room. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food was exceptional as was the service. The phrase "best kept secret in Norman" is correct. Would stay here again.

A modest presence; not fancy, but very inviting, clean and pleasing.
-- One of our beds had a lower steel frame that was extended too far and was hidden by the bed skirt; my roommate was knocking his leg against it. He asked for a repair and it was taken care of immediately and properly.
-- Air conditioning was strong and controllable, especially important in near 95 degree weather.
-- Softer lighting instead of iridescent might provide a less institutional feel, especially in rooms.

I checked in around midnight and the desk staff was very friendly. Got to my room and wanted a cup of decaf coffee to help relax, but there was only regular coffee in the room. I called the desk and asked and they said I could come down to the desk and get decaf, which I did. It would have been nice to have it already in the room. I worried about disturbing sleepers in nearby rooms, as it was impossible to open and close the door quietly. My other frustration came from the fact that the only covers on the bed were the bottom sheet and duvet. Being very warm natured, the duvet was too warm for me, but I couldn't throw it back and sleep under a sheet because there wasn't one. I'd love to have the option for a sheet and blanket, or even just a sheet, but a duvet is all or nothing and just too warm. Having other options available in the closet would be very nice.
I was told that breakfast the next morning was a $9.95 charge, which sounded very reasonable. I ate a little fruit while I waited for an omelet to be cooked. The omelet was very dry and the meat inside had been cooked until it was very dry and in some places, black (burned), before being put inside the very dry egg and putting on my plate.

Home to the University of Oklahoma, Norman is the state's third-largest city. It boasts the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, and the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. In 2000, the art museum was given the Weitzenhoffer Collection, one of the most important collections of impressionist art, including works by Mary Cassatt, Vincent van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, and others.
