Yes, it was convenient and our expectations of a Marriott property that were well met. Our room was spacious and very adequate, and in fact exceeded our expectations. Henry Jones checked us in with cordial and competent ease. The evening was restful and uneventful, the breakfast was exceptional. It is a 4 star hotel.

I was visiting Norfolk overnight to attend a concert and selected this hotel based on the location. I must say I have never stayed at a nicer place! From the moment I arrived until the moment I departed the staff went above and beyond what would be expected of them. The hotel was located perfectly with many places to eat and tour. The rooms were some of the cleanest and in the best condition I have ever experienced. The hotel was secure and located on the edge of Old Dominion University. The restaurant located on the first floor was wonderful as well. The staff was friendly and the food (what I ate) was out of this world.
When returning to Norfolk this will be the only hotel I see as being an option.

Virginia’s second-largest city, Norfolk, is the cultural and business center of the Hampton Roads region in southeastern Virginia. The city is known for its distinct neighborhoods, water-centric culture, and the strong presence of the US Navy—the Norfolk Naval Base is one of the world’s largest. America’s Historic Triangle—Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown—is within an hour’s drive.
