A comfortable environment, restaurant and food excellent; spa and pool brilliant. staff friendly and polite. Sleep disturbed on second night by a badly leaking gutter, with rain pouring into an already existing pool below our room - sounded like a waterfall most of the night. Second night couldn't get to sleep - large wedding with children running up and down corridors, adults shouting and doors slamming till the early hours.
Weather very warm - catch on window broken, no air con and no mini fridge.

After we joined the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, we planed to get to Wales, ao we booked the hotel in Newport.
When we arrived at the hotel, it seemed close to 2 am. and it was raining. However, the manager was so nice and friendly to organize our rooms and checked in. The next day, he did dinner for us, which is also good!
If my friedns or myself will go to Newport next time, i will recommende this very econimic hotel to them and myself!

The room and public area are clean and relatively well presented but it is the brilliant staff particularly at the reception who really made our stay very special. They could not have been more helpful and polite, what a lovely team!
I forgot my reading glasses and we just realised when we got home. The wonderful receptionist immediately went out of her way to find the item for us. And they even offered to post it back to us in Gloucestershire, truly well impressed with all the services. Great team!
