Good size apartment, nice location, easy reach to city centre, you have to pay extra for parking,no balcony,so not recommend for smokers, staff seems a bit bored, late check in(3pm) we were lucky to do it earlier. Overall good experience, happy I choose them.

We had a lovely stay at The Roxburghe. The room was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Timing, unfortunately, wasn't on our side because the hotel was under renovations, and some of the amenities were unavailable. The location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the city on foot.

We stayed here for a night on a brief visit to Edinburgh. Reception is on the first floor above the restaurant and bar. This was unexpected and we were guided to the lift by a member of the bar staff having walked right past it. The reception area is quite small, like a small office. We were in a front facing room (James Bond), and there was a large photograph of Sean Connery above the bed. The room was spacious with a sofa and lounge chair in addition to the twin beds. There was also plenty of hanging space and a fridge. The wifi worked perfectly and was fast. The bathroom is modern. We found everything clean. I found the sink to be mounted a little too low for comfort. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is conveniently situated for buses and the tram, and with lots of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
We enjoyed our stay at the Angels Share and would certainly stay there again.

Kitchenette without hobs(only combi-microwave) and by standard no ironing board in room.
Combi-Microwave is on the blink - Conv/Grill not working at all and MW just about can cook a potato.
Receptionist should ask if a ironing board would be needed as we only realised in the morning that there was none, but we got it organised for the next morning.

Built in the late 1700s to alleviate overcrowding, New Town has a symmetrical layout with broad streets and Georgian architecture. Visitors will find posh boutiques on George Street and popular pubs on Rose Street. Calton Hill, located on the east end, overlooks the city.
