"Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei"
The hotel is very modern and polished. The staff from the concierge right up to the house keeping staff are all very polite, courteous and helpful. The room amenities are very good and the house keeping personnel makes sure that it is kept neat and tidy with everything in their various places. The restaurants that was serving breakfast can do with some improvements as the quality is mediocre given that this is such a posh hotel. The hotel is also very close to the rail subway and is very convenient to move about towards various parts of Taipei with much convenience during the day or the night.

"Nice hotel, a little old; near to train station"
Booked hotel airport transfer and they came with 7 series BMW. Check in was done in the comfort of the room assigned to me, which was a pleasant surprise. Didn't have chance to try the breakfast or hotel facilities due to business meetings. The staff was fantastic, especially Vivian (hope I have her name correct), the lady at the concierge (I think). When I told her I have to check out really early at 6.45am and would not have time for breakfast, she immediately said she would arrange to pack breakfast for me on the go! Such a nice and considerate gesture that put a smile on my face. There are LV and Chanel shops in the lobby. LV staff was fantastic - friendly and helpful (I know they are not part of hotel, but still, it is positive light they are giving out as a whole about the hotel). The Zhong Shan station is really close and only 2 stops from the popular Xinmending and 4 stops from Shiling market. Understand the hotel is undergoing refurbishing by phases. Hope to see a more updated, state-of-art Regent on my next visit.

"Nice cozy hotel with excellent location."
First, the lobby is in the basement which means privacy is awesome. You can bring whomever you want without the lobby noticing. On the flip side, there is a potential safetyness issue. But there is a guard 24/7 so suspicious uninvited guest might be stopped at the entrance. Personally, i think privacy beats security on this one. Second, there are nice treats of candy, biscuits, popcorn, instant noodles, drinks, and many more all free of charge for your taking. The lounge area which is open to everyone is cozy and a nice place to hangout at the end of the day. Huge plus on this one. Third, the hotel is located within 15 mins of 3 subway stations on different lines and is just a mere 10 mins walk from the Taipei station. There are lots of nice beef noodles resturants / all kinds of nice food / supermarket / convenience stores / local market around the hotel within a 10mins walking distance radius. Personally, i think a 15 mins walk is really close. So a big thumbs up for location. Forth, i think the overall decorations of the place is nice.

Nangang is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Nangang, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Nangang hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
