The hotel is conveniently located for anyone visiting silicon valley. It provides a simple buffet breakfast and has a small gym (1 stationary bike, 1 treadmill and 1 stepping machine, as well as a few weights and yoga mats). The decor has a Greek theme, but the choice of vanity in the bathroom put appearance over practicality and environmental responsibility, because it was very difficult to regulate the temperature of the water or turn the faucet off completely -- and this in California, which has serious drought problems! I ended up crawling around on the floor at 2am trying to turn the water supply off at the wall. When I spoke about the issue to the staff at the front desk the following day, I was told that they knew about the problem with the vanities, but that the management didn't care.

We stayed at Hotel Avante overnight on a quick trip to the area. The room was clean and modern. I believe that it is an older hotel that has been remodeled...they did a great job!
I don't know about the other rooms, but ours was very quiet. We had a room at the end of the hallway with a meeting room sharing a wall. Since there was no meeting, it was very quiet.
The hotel has a reasonable fitness room and a good hot breakfast. They also serve hot drinks in the lobby. We didn't spend much time exploring the area, but there seems to be a good selection of restaurants withing short driving distance.

Tatiana, the front desk agent, was polite and efficient. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the bath tub was nice to soak in. The continental breakfast was AMAZING! There was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hashbrowns, toast, bagels, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs, muffins, and more. Location was good, lots of restaurants nearby, and it was close to the I280. Very happy we decided to stay here.

It was great, almost exactly what you'd expect. My only suggestion would be to improve the gym facilities. There are no free weights or resistance training machines. Additionally, there was no cleaner to wipe the machines down with after use, which I found odd. But the staff was great and the rooms were very clean. Complimentary breakfast was also a great touch.

It was a minimalistic experience but good enough for me! The bed was quite comfortable and the room looked newly remodeled. The bathroom left a little to be desired but was 'good enough'. No frills but convenient to downtown MTV, would stay again.
