The Hampton Inn is a very convenient location for those attending the Junior Olympic Swim Meet at the Morgan Hill Aquatic Center. It is a short ten minute walk.
A larger and more efficient breakfast service would be much appreciated for any future visits.

As many of the previous reviewers noted, this hotel is older and is definitely showing some wear and tear. The room we had was a bit dusty and the counters and furniture felt sticky. The hallways leading to our room smelled a bit like stale cigarette smoke even though our room was a "non-smoking" room.
Although there were signs posted outside the lobby doors referring to "designated" smoking areas, we found that people were still smoking right by the doors. The hotel was obviously not enforcing their own non-smoking area rules.
The hotel appears to be used mostly by construction workers.
The room we were in and the floor that we were on were quiet....definitely a PLUS!
Although, they advertise kitchenettes, there are no dishes and in order to get them, you have to pay for their use. You are given a set of towels for each person and asked to re-use them. The towels are old, thin and worn.

We were in town for a soccer tournament and this spot was great - close but not too close and convenient to town for dinner, shopping, etc.! Easy check-in, pool was open until 10pm (to the kids' extreme joy!), and the breakfast was awesome (the kids were very impressed and extremely satisfied). We loved our suite that had two bedrooms separated by a living room - yes to privacy! The only thing I would say was not up to par was the smell in the building and in the room. It made me wish I had brought Febreeze or something to cover it up - yikes. Wish we could've stayed longer - but there's always next year!

on check in day, we had to be moved to another room because when we walked into the room that was assigned to us, we found the ac completely removed from the wall with its parts on the floor, and cover on one of the beds.
on check out day, we were told that the water would be shut off in 10 minutes because there was a water main break and the emergency repair needed to be done.
breakfast was better than i thought. they had waffles, sausages, eggs, cereal, and milk to go with the normal continental breakfast.
for a 2-star hotel, i really can't complain.

It seats on a nice empty street with mountain view. Inside the hotel dark and stinky old carpet leading to my quiet room on a maze up stair. The electronic lock sometime work some time don't mysteriously. Air conditioning make noise every time it crank up. The draw open up itself. Staff looks seriously and less open up first welcome moments. I have my feeling of walking in a haunted hotel in California Adventure Disneyland. I supposed they got style. But when the night over, we enjoyed the continental breakfast in a cozy community room down stair with more people around. I am smiling with my Halloween experience last night.
