The tea and coffee facilities had not been topped up but it was a busy week-end so it may have just been overlooked. There was lots of street noise but I think that you would get that in most hotels in such a central location in a busy suburb. We went for a walk along the esplanade the night we stayed and it was great. There was some shops open and the food options were great.

We spent 3 days in a 1 bedroom sea view apartment for what I think was a fair price. You can pay a lot more to be this close to the action. View was great, and apartment was overall pretty good despite my criticism here. Room was advertised as a kitchenette, so no dishwasher and no built in oven (portable cooker supplied). Would have liked a TV in the bedroom (the connects are there for one). Room had a slight smell to it and felt dusty. I put it down to a delapidated carpet that is well past its use by date. Nice bathroom, shower over big spa bath.

This apartment hotel is in a nice, convenient corner, within walking distance of many amenities in Mooloolaba.
- Some positive points:
1) The rooms we stayed were very clean & comfortable.
2) The gym was well equipped & maintained even though some equipment were archaic.
3) Good heated outdoor pool
4) Helpful & responsive staff
- Some negative points:
1) Shower heads in both bathrooms were located low which were not comfortable for even people with average height
2) Water pressure was way too low for a good shower
3) Washing machine was very old & noisy. It's not possible to sleep while it's running
And a common negative point of many apartment hotels in this area is that there is no complementary WiFi

From the time of our check in to the end of our week long visit we enjoyed every minute. The accommodation was close to everything. Bridget was very helpful and a breath of fresh air at the end of a long journey. The room was a standard room it had a great view and very comfortable bed. Although we hired a car if you wanted to stay in the area you could easily do without one. The Surf Club is right next door with very reasonably priced food and drinks. There are many other options for food within an easy walk. Thank you to all at Sandcastles for a lovely holiday.

This hotel is handy to everything, the main street with it's excellent restaurant's and beach, the wharf for day trips out on the water or canals, bus stop and supermarket and chemist. Beachside is not a large complex so this gives you more of a resort feel to your stay. On the downside, if you are staying for a few days, you will have to replace your soap, shampoo, toilet paper, condiments as you use them up either personally or from management for a small fee. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Beachside Mooloolaba and would recommend this as a great spot for couples to stay.

Maroochydore, known for its surfing beach of the same name, is 10 km (6.2 miles) south of Queensland’s Maroochydore Airport (MCY). South of Maroochydore is crescent-shaped Mooloolaba Beach, a lively wharf, and the adjacent UnderWater World, Queensland’s largest. It is here, in Mooloolaba, that the Sunshine Motorway branches west to meet the Bruce Highway.
