We stayed at the Green Mountain Inn for a long weekend to celebrate our fourth anniversary. We arrived at midnight and were greeted by Kirkland as if it were 10am - so much energy and he was so happy to help! He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and breweries nearby. We went to Michaels on the Hill (HIGHLY recommend), visited all of the area mountains and scenic overlooks, visited the Vermont Dairy Festival and went to the Stowe Farmer's Market on Sunday. We ate breakfast right in town at various coffee shops in town and visited the Alchemist for some infamous Heady Topper. I got a massage at the hotel and it was hands-down the BEST massage I've ever had. Fiona did a combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue and I don't think I have every in my life been more relaxed. We had a fantastic, relaxing anniversary weekend getaway and absolutely recommend the Green Mountain Inn to anyone staying in the Stowe area!!

We loved all the activities at the hotel, which included a rock climbing wall class, family movies, and a magic show! The style of the room is outdated, but I wouldn't have wanted it to be updated. It is about 34 years old at this point and has stencil trim painted on the walls and (in some places) carpet that is green with dots. Quaint comes to mind, which is what I expected. However, for some people the look may not match the price point that you are paying. For me it needed to be a hotel that doesn't just say that they are family friendly, but which truly caters to the entire family experience. In this respect the Trapp Lodge completely gets my highest rating and "Thank You!".

We were visiting our son staying for one night. Expedia and other sites indicated a very attractive rate at the Stowe Inn so we took advantage of it. We were upgraded at check in and had a very pleasant stay. Only isssue we had was connecting to the internet. The link worked at the desk but disappeared by the time we returned to the room. Very minor problem for us.

It was our first time to Stowe and we booked after hearing such wonderful things from a family member about the area. Our trip was planned around an entire day at their Spa with a more relaxation based itenerary. The spa was the highlight of my trip!!! We enjoyed a couples massage, a facial, and two focused massages; scalp and leg and feet, then enjoyed all the spa had to offer with the steam room, tub, and sanctuary where we relaxed.
Our room was the small suite and had a small kitchen with full cooking ability and even a washer and dryer! When we return next time we plan on biking and hiking and having a full kitchen will be great for cooking in some nights. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets are amazing!!! They use a sheet that is spa based and we want to buy a set later on that's how soft they were!
We enjoyed the Hourglass Bar and tasted local beers and some really yummy snacks! The bartending staff were very friendly and helped us decide on a dinner location. What stood out to us was the concierge staff and their attention to detail! We accidentally left a bag in our room and they shipped it to us the next day!!
We had wonderful views of the mountain from our room which I added, with a nice deck to sit and relax while taking in the views both day and night. The resort had plenty of walking and hiking paths which we adventured out for a small hike one afternoon. Definitely worth a return visit to see more in the mountains and of Stowe!!
