Very unique hotel. It was so much fun staying here and exploring the building and the grounds. Great hiking right from the hotel. The rooms are small but honestly you shouldn't be in your room when the hotel offers so much. The food was great and ranged from casual to fancy. We highly recommend the Tap Room. The food was GREAT & the staff was even better. The tea room (which has nothing to do with tea so don't be fooled) had good breakfast sandwiches if you miss the breakfast buffet. But like i said previously, I'm not sure why they call it a tea room. They should rename it. There was an arcade section for kids (or adults) & they had activities all day that you could join. & the spa! great massages! Overall it was fantastic!

My husband and I stayed Sept.19th, a Tues., for one night to celebrate our anniversary. The room was large & clean. Had difficulty figuring out AC in room. Inserted room key as directed in port by entry door but were still unable to operate AC . Didn't request help as it wasn't that much of a concern. The hotel was empty which we loved! Felt like we had the entire pool to ourselves. Enjoyed the biosphere pool and I visited spa for deep tissue massage which was very good. The next morning we had a wonderfully prepared breakfast at Crystal Tavern within Grand Cascades. The presentation and quality of food was excellent along with attentive and courteous server. The other on site restaurants were closed mid week.
The only disappointment experienced was our anniversary dinner night before at Kites restaurant at sister property Crystal Springs. The quality of the food does not equal the price charged. The fried calamari was overcooked to point the breading was dark brown color and rubbery. It looked like bad version of shrimp poppers. My salmon was incredibly dry. My husbands hanger steak looked like salisbury steak and was overcooked, not medium rare. The enjoyable part of meal was our server who was so incredibly nice we couldn't bring ourselves to tell her how disappointed we were with our meal. I would not recommend this restaurant. We regret not having dinner at Crystal Tavern.
