Overall, the hotel was pretty decent. The AC in the room wasn't great but wasn't uncomfortable. The elevators were really muggy and stalked a bit. I had no hot water at my bathroom sink which was frustrating (shower water was fine).

The hotel was nice and the hotel staff were nice. The issue was a fire alarm that went off at 2:30 AM and we had to evacuate the building for 2 hours with no explanation. Also room service never came on the second day of our stay.

Neil Patel was absolutely amazing! He answered any questions I had during my stay! The staff and housekeepers were friendly. Food was good quality for a continental breakfast, actually better than expected! Rooms were newly renovated. Check-in/out was smooth and quick! i will definitely be coming back if I ever visit Charlotte!

Very impressed with the large bedrooms/bathrooms & living area. Full fridge and stovetop & microwave was great for leftovers. Checked in at 10 pm and the gentleman was so helpful, giving us pointers for places to get necessities nearby.

Part of Metrolina, Matthews is one of several incorporated towns that serve as a bedroom community to Charlotte. Matthews’ centerpiece is its stately brick colonial Town Hall, the seat of local government. Charlotte is easily accessible thanks to the area’s first urban highway, Independence Boulevard.
