"Wonderful Tented Camp in Masai Mara"
The service at this camp is impeccable. Host Pauline and all the staff are warm, friendly and ever helpful. Our guide Sakut, was a real pleasure to be with. Not only knowledgeable and a great spotter but simply nice. The food was good with nice wines included in the package. A breakfast and lunch in the bush were nicely organised and good fun. The packaged picnic basket we tried for one breakfast was disappointing compared to the delicious breakfasts available at the camp restaurant.

"Fantastic, beautiful setting"
2nd visit here and its fabulous - staff, rooms, facilities all great. Friendly and fun, the walkway to view the hippos is extra special, lots of species can be seen from there alone. Food - great choice, varied menu. We came away seriously impressed again, and intend to go back. Wonderful

"Fabulous Trip to Kenya"
An amazing experience with excellent accommodations. The staff were on top of every request and never left me feel that I was inconveniencing them with all of my food allergies! Our guide (Nelson) was fantastic and had a good sense of when to engage us and when to let us chat among ourselves. His knowledge of wildlife was exceptional. His keen eye for animals allowed us to see so much more than our eyes could notice. The tent was comfortable and plush but reflective of Africa with bucket showers. Our week visit off-season afforded us our own land cruiser and guide. The food was excellent- and remember, I have food allergies. The managers Roelof and Helen were lovely. All of the staff were well trained and terrific. This is a must do spot! Be sure to take a walking safari with Roelof!

"Amazing safari adventure"
This was my first stay at the intrepids camp and it was an amazing experience. From our fantastic game drives to the hotel service, every experience was beyond my expectations. Great staff and we highly recommend Raph as the game driver. He was well experienced and found us a leopard every day we went out, not to mention all the other amazing animals as well.

"Visiting the Masai Mara"
We spent a week in the Masai Mara. The Serena lodge is the heart of the Masai Mara conservancy which is the best kept part of the entire area. The roads are better, the animals are protected and it is the perfect destination for game drives. The Serena lodge is the only place to stay in the area and there really is no other place you would want to go. It is located a few km from the airstrip (yes you do want to fly in, don't drive from Nairobi) on top of a high mesa that looks out dozens of miles in all directions. The property is amazing with a pool, workout facilities and an excellent spa. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating and you will want for nothing. Look out your window each morning and see everything from baboons to buffalo to antelope and giraffes. They have many Land Cruisers with pop tops for game drives and the animals really are incredible. Highly recommend the balloon ride. The master pilot, Dan, is incredible and the vistas are amazing. Not cheap but worth the adventure. On Wednesday night there is an excellent talk by local researchers from the Hyena study camp which is fascinating as well. I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else.

"Amazing stay"
Words can't express the beauty of this lodge. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel relaxed and well looked after. The surroundings are stunning with rustic little lodges all along the river which has resident hippos. The manager and all the staff are friendly, professional and do everything they can to make your stay memorable. The food is delicious and plentiful, I was very impressed with how the chef could produce such a wide selection of beautiful dishes, I stayed for 5 nights and every meal was different and fresh. The game drives are great fun, I saw so many animals even getting so close to lion cubs I could hear them suckling! Simon is a very knowledgeable guide and such a cheerful and helpful man he made every game drive a memorable experience. The rooms are comfortable and rustic with spacious bathrooms and hot showers. If you don't fancy a game drive you can view the hippos and huge amount of birds and relax by the pool. I would recommend this lodge 100%

Masai Mara is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Masai Mara, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Masai Mara hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
