This was our second stay at Los Monterros. Although the location is a 10 euro taxi ride from Marbella town centre, it is a great hotel, with friendly staff and a great breakfast spread. There is a nice pool and a Spa on site.

"Very central location to beach and restaurants. "
My only difficulty with the place is that they charge for wifi. It cost 20E for a week, and even then only one device could be operated from it! Wifi is freely available in restaurants and cafes, so I think it's a bad reflection on the Alanda to do this. Apart from that, it was a fine room, and the daily cleaning service makes it feel like a holiday!

I expected to hire clubs at the golf Hotel as part of the Golf Hotel hospitality as I was travelling with family and would have used the facilities as and when. I was quoted Hiring charges of Eur 65.00 per day when one would have expected Eur 65.00 per week!
Golf Club hire is available on line from company that would deliver and collect the clubs at a reasonable rate. Unfortunately, did not realise till late.

The hotel is very good in general, couple of issues, first the sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable at all considering a 5 star hotel, I asked to change it with no response,
Second, the children wasn’t allowed in indoor swimming pool only on Sunday and only for a couple of hours,

chose El Faro because it was advertised as an aparthotel, we wanted a kitchenette just for breakfasts and a cuppa as we mostly eat out. The fridge was really handy but there wasn't a kettle. and only 3 coathangers in the room...we bought some cheap ones ourselves
the second reason we chose the hotel was because it had parking. from past experience we know the underground parking is tight but it was REALLY tight!! and only 8 parking spaces do don't expect a parking space as you may be disappointed! we arrived around midnight and after shunting back and forward a few times we managed to park but when we returned to get the car in the morning the passenger side was all dented in,another car couldn't have hit it because there were posts in the way, it actually looked like someone had kicked the door in a few places....no CCTV in the parking area, and the receptionist really wasn't too bothered! luckily we had paid the full insurance on the car but its not the point really! the pool and outside bar area was nice, the pool is rather small but it doesn't seem to get too crowded so it wasn't a problem.
the room was cleaned daily and to a high standard. and the bed was comfy enough.

Synonymous with international glamour, Marbella presents both the old and new faces of the Costa del Sol. Its charming Old Town is a warren of whitewashed streets with authentic tapas bars while six kilometres west, glitzy Puerto Banús boasts super yachts, designer outlets and gold-card dining. There are two sandy town beaches with water sports, and nearby championship golf courses. After dark, nightclubs are upscale and often exclusive.
