It was our first experience in the Keys and we will definitely return to this resort. The room was extremely comfortable. The environment was quiet, relaxing, and very peaceful. We loved the serenity of the complex. The private beach allowed even more tranquility. Access to everything we needed was right there from the tiki bar, to the pools. We especially loved seeing all of the iguanas crawling around the green areas. We will definitely return to this resort in the future.

Booked the rooms for a group of college students based only on price. When you pull up out front it looks a bit sketchy. Couldn't have been more wrong. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The staff was very friendly. Grounds were clean and well-maintained, and gave me the idea that the employees took pride in their work. The restaurant, which again looked a bit worn from the front, was neat and clean on the inside. The food was great, and the bartender was friendly and good at his job. I thought it was an outstanding stop, and less than half of what we would have paid at Key West.

This was a nice property, unfortunately they failed to mention that they are under construction when the room was booked. We were inconvenienced at the local elevator and had to go to the other end of the hotel to reach the 4th floor. Likewise spending time at the hotel during the day was not very peaceful.
Overall it was a nice property and while we now understand it is a newly opened property in the area and are glad to see that someone is taking the time to renovate the place because it's quite comfortable in a classic Keys style. It has a nice pool, tiki bar and a restaurant on site. Staff was a little stiff. Location was great. About 2 miles from Sombrero beach and within a short drive of several good restaurants, walking distance of the local market. Fishing charters very close and about an hour from Key West.
Look forward to going back after the renovations.

In the central Keys Marathon is a relatively new city, though the area has been developed for a while. Tourists flock to Marathon to sunbathe on Sombrero Beach. Fishing and scuba diving are also popular here.
