Nice enough hotel, good location, seems to be in the posher end of the town right near the water tower which has a lovely park. Im not sure if the hotel has been partly renovated or that's just how it is but the lobby bar and garden area looked amazing and reflected the pictures online, our room however was quite dated, clean enough and we could sleep in it ok but it didn't reflect the lobby and public areas.
Had a drink in the bar which was well stocked but lacked any life, I only saw about 3-5 people at the bar thought the hole weekend.
Breakfast for me was ok but nothing more and the restaurant was fair, food was ok but I felt over priced for what it is.
The courtyard area however was very nice to eat outside as it was warm when we where there.
However we booked this hotel as it was affordable and we didn't spend a lot of time there as we went to the German GP which is easy to get to from here, its a short walk to Manheim station where its about 20 min on the train to Hockenheim and then about a 35-40 walk.
Overall a good enough hotel, nothing bad to say but it could be great with some basic improvements especially with the rooms.

Known as the 'City of Squares' due to its grid-like layout, Mannheim was once a fortress guarding the meeting of the Rhine and Neckar rivers. The pedestrianized Paradeplatz is the city's hub, with a multitude of shops, bars, and restaurants. The landmark Water Tower is a stunning place to watch the world go by, preferably whilst enjoying a pretzel from one of Mannheim's many street stands.
