Great hostel with clean facilities and a nice atmosphere, all within a minute's walk of Manly's shops, bars, restaurants and of course the beach. It's a backpackers so everyone is really friendly, which makes up for the fact that it's perhaps not the quietest place you could stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Novotel, Manley. The hotel has an excellent location , opposite the fantastic Manley beach and a short walk from the Corso with its many shops and bars.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful . The buffet breakfast was very good and the bar next to the lobby was a relaxing place to be. Would recommend this hotel.

Read reviews and decided to go ahead with booking although had reservations. Most of the negatives wouldn't bother us such as parking (we came by ferry), key at another location (only around the corner) and lots of stairs (no big deal for us as we're used to walking). People complained about cleanliness and uncomfortable bed. We did not find this to be the case. The room was reasonably clean and the beds were comfortable. It is budget accommodation not luxury. If you want better facilities and comfort you have to pay for it!

This northern suburb of Sydney is famous for its beaches, which are popular with surfers the world over. Make sure to hike atop the cliffs of North Head Sanctuary for unforgettable views of Sydney and its environs. The Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary features penguins and also lets you (safely) dive with sharks. Hungry? Head for The Corso, a busy outdoor mall with plenty of cafes and restaurants.
