"OK hotel."
The hotel is nice, but it has a corporate feel and, despite the two basins in the bathroom, seems equipped only really for single businessmen. There was nowhere to use a hairdryer near a mirror in the bedroom and nowhere to sit down and apply make-up in the bedroom. Everything had to be done in the bathroom, which, when two are sharing, is not always convenient. The hairdryer was the sort that has to have the button depressed all the time for it to work, which is tiring and annoying for people with hair to manage. There was only one tiny bar of soap for two of us to share between the two basins, the bath and the shower. I felt like the room wasn't equipped at all for the comfort of women, in particular. So many hotels are like this nowadays that I'm thinking of looking more at Airbnb for a more comfortable experience. The bed, however, was huge and very comfortable.

"Budget hotel near Malaga Airport"
This is definitely a budget hotel but that being said, it was very nice. Staff was excellent and at front desk 24/7. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We stayed there before an early morning flight. Staff arranged for a 4:30 a.m. taxi pickup.

"An important hotel with high expectations"
A strange title you may feel, but the Gran Miramar is the first 5 star hotel in Malaga, which for such a historic and artistic town/city like Malaga is an important addition. If, like me, this will be your first visit to the city, other than passing through the airport, then I am sure you will be delighted by what the city has to offer. The hotel itself has now been open for two months with the swimming pool and spa due to be operational from sometime in April I believe. I think construction is all but complete and I certainly was not subject to any disruption during my stay. A lot of money has been clearly been spent of the fit-out of what is a grand and imposing building with the lobby reminding me a bit of the Alfonso Xiii hotel in Seville, although as yet clearly without the pedigree. In summary the good points were very friendly and welcoming staff even if at times they have not fully found their rhythm, I ate dinner in the restaurant 3 evenings and found the food to be of a good standard, as was breakfast. My room (deluxe Boulevard) was very comfortable and the bed and sheets excellent (soft rather than starchy sheets).Room was well equipped although bathroom was somewhat cramped, especially the shower area. This I found slightly disappointing given the standard of room which I was paying for, but for one person it was ok. Location of the hotel was excellent for both the city's historic attractions and the beach. The lobby area I found to be somewhat devoid of any soul.

"Great location right on the beach"
Hotel was kept very clean and really made an effort to make it feel 4 star. Walls were very thin though - even the floors and ceiling let all noise through so could be difficult getting peace in peak season. We had no problems on this occasion though. Breakfast is average but if it's part of the package it's worth it otherwise I'd go elsewhere for food.

"Good quality hotel "
Great value for money. Very clean, good facilities including small gym, covered swimming pool, well laid grounds, bar and restaurant. Breakfast was limited but enjoyable. Staff were helpful, and the free airport shuttle was a big bonus. Room was small but adequate for a short term stay. Only poor mark was on location. It is in a residential area of town some distance away from the town centre and beach.

"Modern hotel in great location"
Good hotel: nicely decorated and well kept. Great location near to front and main shopping and eating areas. Rooftop pool and sitting area is small but pleasant. Only problem is there is no food service at the pool area. Drinks only. If you want a snack you have to eat elsewhere. Doesnt exactly encourage guests to stay around during the day - which, of course, may be the plan. A definite negative though.

"Nice hotel close to Train station & bus station"
Upon arrival to the hotel, we were able to check in before 12, but we were not told the hotel would not put on air conditioning until April, so we turned on the Air con and warm air came out, which meant we had to open the window to sleep. The hotel staffs are helpful enough and the facilities are very good.

Malaga is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Malaga, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Malaga hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
