Mahlon Sweet Field Airport Hotels in Eugene, Oregon

The Royal Inn is not a fancy motel, but has nice amenities. Including excellent wi-fi, new bedspread and curtains, a fridge, microwave, extra sink, and coffee pot. It's right on Hwy 99, but traffic noise was not a problem. It's an older structure, but the owners have made an effort to make the rooms comfortable. And the price was right! So, a good value for sure. Friendly staff.

Just needed to sleep from Europe flight. Good place for that.

Not going to get a lot of amenities, but if you just need an inexpensive home base for your stay, can't go wrong here.

Had a large quiet river view room. With so few decent hotel choices in Eugene this felt very nice. I think the river side rooms are probably completely different experience than the rest of the hotel. Worth the little bit extra $ for sure.

Was clean, the bathroom has a opening window(love it ) quite place , very poor WiFi connection tho.

The one feature that makes this particular location stand out from other "just the basics" motels I've stayed in is the furniture: surprisingly plentiful. I was traveling with my adult son, who managed to tune the TV in his room to a big game he'd been hoping to watch—and I was able to join him, each of us sitting in our own large but quite comfortable easy chair. (In most other "basic" motel rooms, you'd expect there would be only one chair, if any (and most likely not an easy chair at that, while at this motel you get two easy chairs and the standard desk and dresser as well).

Came from Portland, for business and me relax. My boyfriend worked at night. It was safe, quiet, and VERY CLEAN, COMFORT rooms. #1... THE BED! TO DIE FOR, ZZZZzzzzz! Great 3 day stay. ( Food, shop, entertainment, I-5, right there!) Hassel free.

We were in town for our Daughters grad from the U of O,Most of the hotels were booked or overpriced,we found the Hostel & stayed the night,nice clean room everyone was very cordial,we enjoyed relaxing in the back area,there were some other guests doing the same playing music etc.Then the next day they were booked but one of the employees (possibly owner) told us they were working on another location across the street & set us up with a room for the next two nights even though they weren't open yet,very nice much appreciated gesture.Thanks again the folks at Whiteaker Hostel!
