"Super cool hotel, amazing design, great staff "
Fabulous location if you love art, shopping, great food! The rooms as small but fabulously designed and extremely confortable. Great views and daylight in rooms. The overall hotel main spaces are great but a little dark. Staff is super friendly and the design in general is very meticulous, for the real design lovers!

"Convenient and good enough!"
We stayed at the Salisbury for 5 nights while touring Manhattan. The location is great for quick access to museums, Central Park, Times Square, Fifth Avenue and a subway station is right on the corner. There is a small grocer two doors down which sells hot bagel sandwiches and other pick up items like cups of yogurt with granola and fruit. That was our breakfast solution.. Oodles of restaurants in the area. Yes, the hotel is dated, but it delivered on what we needed. A clean, safe place to sleep after a day out and about. We stayed on the 7th floor and boy was there street noise at night. Trucks, sirens. One night it was jackhammer noise. We had heard that New York is the city that never sleeps...and now we know why. Perhaps things are more quiet higher up. Next time, we'll ask for a higher floor. The downside of that choice might be longer elevator waits. During peak times, the elevator would take so long we would simply walk down the stairs (7 floors). It built character.

"Perfect location, great hotel"
The NYLO has a perfect location in NYC, especially if you're attending something at Columbia like the Reading Institute at Teachers College. The room was fairly spacious for a NYC hotel and very clean. The staff were so friendly all the time. The only thing that might take a point off is the very loud AC unit in the room. It did work very, very well, but it was just a bit loud. Didn't really bother me as I wasn't in my room much and I had ear plugs to use while sleeping which I wear in every hotel I go to. For the amenities and the location that the NYLO offers it is very affordable. I will DEFINITELY be staying at the NYLO again.

"Beautiful, old world charm, very classy. "
Watch out for the added cost of $35.00 per night for facility use, as I was unaware at the time I booked the hotel that there would be an added fee. I have not experienced this in other Hotels.

"Good Stay"
July 24th Three night stay. Very friendly staff and as always stated big rooms by NYC Standards. Yes the washroom looked a little old and I dont understand the long shower with two separate stations but it was functional. Face it in NYC you shouldnt be in your hotel except to sleep and then be out exploring. The location starts you off in a good place. Longer walk to Central Park then up to Times Square. Staying here you will not be disappointed. Maybe a little bigger TV in bedroom but we didnt watch much anyways.

"Wonderful retreat near Central Park"
Stayed here for a meeting that was held at the Hilton, but glad I picked this spot instead. Beautiful, peaceful and chic. Wonderful service all the way around from the gentleman at the door to the front desk. Great location- blocks from central park, MoMa, and 5th ave. Around the corner from subway stop. Rooms larger than typical NYC room. Fresh fruit in the lobby daily. Walking distance to Broadway shows. Convenient market around the corner on 6th st, and a great coffee/juice place. Will definitely be back!

Madison Avenue is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Madison Avenue, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Madison Avenue hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
