Excellent three night stay - reasonable extra cost of a single room stay. Very near the old town of Lubeck.
Even the overnight snow was handled in an efficient manner to allow free access to and from the hotel; a testament to the German way of dealing with extreme weather.
The hotel was very clean despite the on-going refurbishment. The only criticism I can make of the rooms is that the bathroom is obviously the next on the list for said refurbishment.

Stayed in the motel. It is exactly what it's supposed to be, a basic place to stay, which is great of your not planning on spending time in your room. Rooms are kept clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom and shower were nice. Only downside is that there's no kettle in the room but I guess I should have checked that first.

My room was spacious, clean and modern. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. For example, a trip to the city centre was easy as the Reception was well prepared with specific bus schedules that showed where to get on and off the bus. I will choose this hotel again when I stay in Lübeck next time.

near the railway station and the sights. Large, quite spread-out hotel (found it difficult to locate the actual entrance on arrival..) Helpful staff who spoke excellent English. Very nicely appointed rooms and the breakfast was to a good standard. Would happily stay again

Clean, quality furnishings, great location, but we found the room too warm and the air conditioning didn't work! Having the windows open helped cool the room, but the noise outside from the roadworks meant a poor and uncomfortable night's sleep. Thermostat in the bathroom(?) registered 24.6 deg C.
Disappointing, as everything else was perfect and Lubeck was a perfect location to visit.

Former queen of the Hanseatic League, the medieval city of Lubeck has some of the best Gothic architecture in Germany. The main landmark is the Holsten Gate with its cone spires, while the entire old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beach at Travemunde has been a popular resort since 1802. The home of marzipan, Lubeck also holds a famous Christmas market and has museums dedicated to writers Thomas Mann and Gunter Grass.
