Stayed in the motel. It is exactly what it's supposed to be, a basic place to stay, which is great of your not planning on spending time in your room. Rooms are kept clean, the bed was comfy and the bathroom and shower were nice. Only downside is that there's no kettle in the room but I guess I should have checked that first.

I have stayed twice at this hotel and particularly enjoy the modern, clean unfussy rooms, particularly the large bathroom and walk in shower. The staff are attentive and the location is convenient between the rail station and the town centre.

We recently spent 2 nights here on the tail-end of our recent holiday. Staff were a little stiff at first on the front desk, but overall, they seemed nice. Breakfast was ok, nothing to rave about, actually the eggs were yuk! Selection of food was average. Free car parking is first-in-first-served. We had to park on the street! This hotel is ok, but not a highlight of our trip.

Excellent three night stay - reasonable extra cost of a single room stay. Very near the old town of Lubeck.
Even the overnight snow was handled in an efficient manner to allow free access to and from the hotel; a testament to the German way of dealing with extreme weather.
The hotel was very clean despite the on-going refurbishment. The only criticism I can make of the rooms is that the bathroom is obviously the next on the list for said refurbishment.

Lovely room with plenty of space and good quality linen. Friendly, helpful staff - even happily endured my atrocious attempts at German.
Breakfast was excellent. Actually spoiled for choice.
Hotel only about 50 meters from station but Lübeck doesn't suffer from the scruffiness around its railway station that a lot of other cities have.
Lots to see and eat in easy walk from hotel.
Highly recommend Lübeck as a place to visit and the hotel as the place to stay.

Former queen of the Hanseatic League, the medieval city of Lubeck has some of the best Gothic architecture in Germany. The main landmark is the Holsten Gate with its cone spires, while the entire old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beach at Travemunde has been a popular resort since 1802. The home of marzipan, Lubeck also holds a famous Christmas market and has museums dedicated to writers Thomas Mann and Gunter Grass.
