This hotel is a little bit further away from the train station than some of the other hotels, but with a great view of mount Pilatus.
They have lounge seating in front of the lake, kind of like a private beach. That's something that is really unique to this hotel. I prefer family hotels to large, grand resorts, but still enjoy luxury and convenience. This hotel wasn't as grand as palace Lucerne, but service and facilities were still top notch.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Service was immaculate. There was an issue with our reservation and Manager Raymond went exceptionally out of his way with his atitude and generosity to make sure we are compensated and our stay is satisfactory. Wonderful stay. Will definitely choose this hotel for other stays.

Great experience here! Hotel is 5" walk from train station so out of the tourist crush but easy walking to Old Town and Caple Bridge. Room was spacious and immaculate. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom nice sized. Hotel staff, especially Selina, delightful and super helpful - gave us great restaurant recommendations, not touristy places but nice local restaurants.

The hotel itself is quite lovely but two things to improve on. There is no ramp to bring luggage down from the parking lot. Instead you are dragging your luggage down the stairs. The bottom of the funicular at street level has no lights. Although this is the responsibility of the city Guetsch can warn guests and give out flashlights or set up a portable light until properly fixed. You cannot see your hand in front of your face !!!

Home to nearly 60,000 people, Lucerne, on Lake Lucerne, is primarily a tourist destination due to its natural beauty of the lake and nearby Swiss Alps. The Chapel Bridge, a wooden bridge from the 14th century, is a top tourist attraction. Lucerne also boasts the Swiss Transport Museum exhibiting all forms of transport, including trains, cars, ships, and aircraft.
