The door men and bell staff are among the most friendly in NYC. I really appreciate their genuine welcome each time I returned to the hotel.
The location is great, easy access to SoHo, Greenwich Village. Nice quiet neighborhood.
The rooms are huge by NYC standards and well appointed although I do think it’s time to replace the mattresses. I would also recommend new sheets as the current are course and not up to 5 star standards.

"Nice hotel, near NYC's Pennsylvania Train Station "
I had to take a later train, and did not arrive until after 1:00 a.m. I had decided to travel to attend a two-day conference when I received a reminder, and had not spent much time reading about the hotel. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that it was located within a two-block walking distance from the train station, as well as the subway system. After a hefty taxi fair to my meeting, I was able to use the subway for almost door-to-door travel. The hotel was huge, with a pleasant reception.to check-in, despite my late arrival. The bedroom and bath were immaculate. The only shortcoming was the lack of a coffee maker, which would have probably been provided had I called the desk, but I fell asleep after a full day of sessions, watching my favorite program on their large screen, snuggling on their supportive, but soft and cozy bed.
