We stayed overnight on our way further west. Our queen room was as expected, clean (except for the questionable stain on the brown bed covering over the quilt) and our bed very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, a little outdated, but biggest problem was "no sink plug". The seal on the fridge didn't quite cut it and the fridge made a "white noise" that hubby didn't like. We chose room service for dinner and breakfast (surcharge for room service) both of which were generous servings and very tasty. No problem with parking. The premises are a 5 minute drive into town (no other restaurants or take away close by). Would be stay again ...... yes.

Despite the cold wet weather that greeted us when we reached Wentworth Falls, the warmth and charm of Silvermere made the effort to get there so worthwhile. Lew and Cath were the perfect hosts, attentive and charming without being interfering. The Irvine room was spacious clean and had a lovely porch that looked out into the peaceful garden. And at breakfast, the homemade granola and rhubarb and berries jam were such a treat! lovely lovely time!
