"Nice and close to moonlight beach."
Hotel parking is horrible. Not enough parking spaces for the number of rooms. Forces people to park out on Main Street.

Leucadia Beach Inn

"Good, basic hotel very well located"
This is a very spartan and clean historic inn located close to the beach with many restaurants nearby. It is not luxurious by any means and the price reflects that. Wifi was slow and kept cutting out. The bathroom is incredibly small and the water flow was not good. There were always 2 or 3 little gnats in the room; we could never seem to get rid of them. On the plus side the bed was large and comfortable. It had a small kitchenette so you could cook meals or bring back food from a restaurant to reheat later. Free parking, much appreciated on a crowded street. Apart from the gnats the room was immaculate. I think this inn is excellent value for the money. It's hard to find reasonable accommodations in a beach area and this one fits the bill nicely. I would stay there again.

"Very pleased with my stay."
My overall rating for this hotel is a 4 out of 5, which in my book is excellent. My first impression of the hotel once checked in was very good. The staff was so friendly and the room was very clean. The rooms were dated, but again VERY clean. The room smelled good as soon as I walked in, which was great because I've had countless times where my non-smoking room smelled like smoke. We actually used quite a few differrent things while we were here with my two small kids. I did not like that the entrance to get in your room is directly outside. The two beds were double beds, even though I paid for 2 queen beds, I didn't mention anything so I can't say whether or not they would have fixed it. I did request extra blankets and pillows, and they gave them to me no problem. The A/C worked great. They exchanged bedding for me when I asked. There was vending machines and ice on each floor which was really convenient. There was also a washer and dryer on the second floor, my laundry came out great, and I washed and dried a load for $2.75. The breakfast was great. Not a whole lot of variety, but perfect if your hungry and need to get the kids some food asap. The pool was okay, but the hot tub was a little dirty. My kids had a blast in it anyway. I thought all the hard work of the staff really showed in and out of this hotel. They came everyday and offered maid service, a luxury most hotels don't offer anymore. The coffee was awesome, and they always had fruit available.

Econo Lodge Encinitas Moonlight Beach

"Great place to stay!"
We chose Econo Lodge because our son lives within walking distance, so it was very convenient for our visit there. There is a beautiful beach nearby (less than a 5 minute walk) with spectacular views and gorgeous sunsets. We also enjoyed the Encinitas Farmer's Market directly across the highway, and several very fine dining areas within walking distance. The hotel itself has a friendly, responsive staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and a basic continental breakfast. It was everything that we needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, both for its low prices and for its overall comfort.

Leucadia is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Leucadia, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Leucadia hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
