"Nice hotel away from all the bustle of the city."
We stayed two nights while visiting the city. Several nice restaurants near by, and easy bus service into the city.

"Comfortable and convenient"
Loved staying at Western Harbour Breakwater. It was so much more comfortable for my family of five than a traditional hotel would have been. It is right outside the city with a bus stop across the street for transportation where ever you want to go in Edinburgh.

"Nice apartment "
The apartments are well equipped and walking distance to the centre about 30mins. There are plenty of parking as well. Recommend to stay if you're driving or you are travelling in a small group/family. The two bedroom apartments are great for families or friends travelling together

"Nice apartments on the outskirts"
Nice apartment on a good bus route. Near Ocean Treminal. Visit the royal yacht Britannia well worth it. 24 hrs Asda nearby. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. The number 35 bus will bring you straight to Ocean terminal from the Airport. It takes an hour and a half. Then get the number 10 to Western harbour. The number 35 passes through Leith Waterway. Lovely restaurants. Look out for Mimis. Fab cakes and big gluten free selection. The zoo well worth a visit but you have to book the panda slot in advance on line. Mary's Queen close also book in advance excellent. Don't have to book Authers seat. Climb it anytime you want just wear comfortable shoes.

"Good location for leith attractions"
Overall enjoyed the stay but found the rooms had poor insulation and could here things in other rooms, the staff were excellent but the room needed a bit more detailed cleaning along with the bathroom, breakfast was excellent and liked the big table that allowed u to meet other people at the breakfast. Would go back and would hope the points raised would be dealt with.

Stayed for a few nights and was nice, staff were very helpful and friendly but apartment felt like it was unfinished and was thrown together for the sake of our stay as the trip was last minute, wifi wasn't working and had trouble getting washed as we had to wait for boiler to fill up to get hot water and even then it was still cold but apart from these few faults I would stay here again as it was a lovely stay and very relaxing.

Great location, only a short walk into Edinburgh city. Stuart and Catherine are extremely welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts was delicious and room was clean and spacious (with all the facilities needed - hair dryer, robe, tea and coffee etc). Would definitely stay here again.

    Pocket Guide: Newhaven Leith Hotels

Once a seaport town, Leith was incorporated into Edinburgh in 1920 amidst controversy and maintains its own identity. Leith Walk connects the city with its primary port where the Water of Leith feeds into the Firth of Forth. Visitors can tour the Britannia, which for 44 years was the Royal Family’s private yacht. Golfers may want to stop at Leith Links where the rules of the game were devised in 1744.
