Stayed here in a twin room for 2 nights. It's far from anything special but does/has everything you need. Wasn't the comfiest of beds but nothing terrible. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

A bit difficult to find, but well worth the effort. This was a self catering overnight stay and while the kitchen was well appointed, it's galley layout made things difficult when setting the microwave, or removing hot food from the oven. The main room was quite amazing, and well worthy of the high rating I have given. The score lost half a star because of the potential hazards in the kitchen.

Stayed at this hotel on 2 previous occasions because of good location in city and nearby free parking. Staff very welcoming and breakfasts are excellent. Unfortunately our room was very poorly lit with dim lights in all the wrong positions and we refrained from opening the window ,even when hot in the room , because of the very noisy air conditioning units on the roof outside the window. Our room did not have air conditioning or a working extractor in the bathroom.

Room was nicely furnished and clean but very small making it claustrophobic at times. It was also difficult to access with luggage as the building is old and there is no lift. Had to go up and down various staircases to get to the room.
Breakfast was excellent value for money.
The street is very noisy late at night.

This newly refurbished hotel provides a pleasant stay for families. It has a warm pool and spa area. It's rooms are comfortable and clean.
The only downside to our stay was breakfast. Stressed staff in "look busy" mode does not make for a nice meal to start the day....I will leave it at that.
Other than that, I would really recommend this hotel

We stayed for our anniversary enroute to the Lakes and had a lovely time here. The hotel is having extensive refurbishment but the parts that are completed are top class. Our room was huge and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and the house red wine was great! Great stay and will recommend to fellow walkers as its in a fabulous spot.

The B and B isn't as good as described. Room small with marks on the walls . Toilet flush loose and sink plug mechanism not working. Little thing like TV remote back missing. Windows wouldn't open which made it rather warm. On plus side excellent breakfast.

Lancaster is the county town of Lancashire, and the seat of the Duchy of Lancaster. Settled since Roman times, its center boasts a number of beautiful buildings, notably the Ashton Memorial, Lancaster Castle and St Mary's Church. The city has a thriving cultural life, with art galleries, music venues, and museums in abundance. A large firework festival is held around Bonfire Night every November.
