"A second visit, not as good"
We used this hotel last year and were impressed with the room we had with one of the most comfortable beds we'd experienced in many a year. The hotel itself we felt was a little tired and needed a refresh but overall acceptable. Our latest visit did little to dispel this view. The corridors are still tired with old liquid stains notable on the carpets. The first shock was the check in. We arrived late (as planned with a fully pre-paid room) but rather than someone to check us in, the person we spoke to just directed us to a computer screen to 'DIY'. Whilst this was easy to deal with, I was immediately disappointed with the lack of service from we had previously experienced. This time we were allocated a different room style; maybe due to our booking route. The bed was not as welcoming from what we'd experienced before or expected. It was clean and competent but didn't give the extra buzz we'd anticipated from our previous experience. The breakfast was as before, full English and nice but the queue for the toast machine was excruciating. People waiting 10 minutes; and then when you got to it, it took 4 passes to properly toast a piece of bread. I gave up finally! I really think a top class hotel can afford a decent toaster! Checkout was quick as you just put your card in a box, very impersonal again. Another obvious cost cutting exercise which reduces headcount but reduces the service to customers and is noticed! This is not what I expect from a premium hotel.

"Two week stay at BFC Hotel."
Great stay, nice layout throughout. Only minor issues were restaurant was closed after match day, but hotel info only mentioned it being closed for lunch. And no coffee biscuits for last 3 days of the stay, both issues so small did not mention to hotel staff!! Parking no problem at any time during my stay & restaurant food was very good. Would definitely stay again if in blackpool.

We went when the weather was bad but with the hotel having a very long front window and seating that did not matter. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you and were enjoyable to talk too.

"Nice hotel with lovely view just as I requested."
We arrived early and although our room wasn't ready we still received a warm welcome from Leah. She advised us of places to go for lunch and advised she would get our room ready as soon as possible. On our return it was ready and the staff cleaning the rooms asked if everything was alright and if we had everything we needed which was a nice touch. We had a lovely sea view room with a balcony where you could sit and watch the sun go down. Excellent.

"Birthday weekend in Blackpool"
Had a really good weekend at the Carousel Hotel the staff was great. Parking could of been a struggle but manged to get there early Friday afternoon. Breakfast was a joke waiting in a self service queue 15min plus all because the toaster is set up in the wrong place. This then causes people to stand over you when you finally do get your breakfast.

"Lovely B&B in an ideal location."
This B&B is in a perfect location, being just a short 3 – 5 min walk from the sea front & the same to the shops. Its situation at the north end pier end but with the trams running every few minutes it really doesn’t matter which end you are. The proprietor Martin is a lovely friendly gentleman, on arrival we had coffee / tea & biscuits which was very welcome after our long journey. Our room was ready early & we were kindly allowed to check in. There is a small parking area at the rear (5 – 6 cars) which makes life so much easier. Once parked up you won’t need your car again. Martin is on hand to give you any help with local attractions / restaurants which even included a discount card. Our rooms were well furnished with nice clean & fully functioning en-suite facilities, the beds were SO comfortable. There was everything you will need from a hairdryer to tea / coffee / hot chocolate / water & biscuits in your room. I didn’t see a lift, so if you have an issue with stairs I would suggest you call first. The breakfast is delicious, a good choice all nicely served by friendly staff. Don’t miss out on scrambled egg or an omelette – Martin is a real expert on these! We had a lovely few days staying at this B&B. Would I return? Absolutely! Great little find.

Lancashire is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Lancashire, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Lancashire hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
