We booked our room last minute and ended up booking a smoking room as it was the only room available. Upon our late check in I asked for non-smoking however the hotel was booked for the evening. Fabian who checked us in recommended we ask for a non smoking room first thing in the morning which we did. Chanti was very accommodating and we had our non smoking room in less than 5 minutes. We love the Pear Tree for their complementary nightly hors D'oeuvres and beer/wine and complimentary breakfast. We enjoyed talking with the lady who worked the breakfast bar (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) she is a Navy Veteran of 25 years which you could tell as she worked hard to make us happy. I gave the facilities a four because I felt the elevator needed to be cleaned, it had a lot of fingerprints and just looked dirty. The pool was clean and enjoyable. Our room was comfortable and clean, it was equipped with a hair dryer, refrigerator and microwave. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking at comfort without spending a small fortune in the St. Louis area.

Hotel is showing age, probably has something to do with the color choice, Red, blacks and browns. Has went down a bit since Crosslands has taken over from Extended Stay. NO breakfast even though Expedia website says so. Hotel has a large number of people living there with children running around unsupervised. Male desk person was not personable.

The hotel was great. The check in process was very smooth. I had to park in the overflow lot but it just a short walk to the hotel. My only concern was an odor I detected upon entering the room. It smelled like cigarettes but I knew it was a non-smoking room. I carry air freshener with me just for such occasions. Other than this odor the room was fine.

We reserved a room with two queen beds. We arrived and we're warmly greeted by the staff who checked us in quickly. Our room was very clean and welcoming after driving all day. Even though the building looked warn it was clean and fresh. We ate breakfast and found enough variety to satisfy everyone e including a teenage boy. Thank you for a restful night
