This cute, cozy Inn is close to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. It was very quiet and safe. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a full kitchen. The beds were comfortable, and there was a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. There was also laundry facilities. The rooms could use some updating but overall you can't beat it for the price. I would definitely choose this place over a hotel.

We were in room #2, I believe it is called the Garden Room. The room was very nicely decorated just recently, it was adequate in size and the bed was quite comfortable. The room had a musty smell that did not go away, more like woods after a rain than any kind of mold odor. Neither of us had any negative reaction to it and it was not as noticeable after being in the room for a while. This room has handicap fittings, so the bathroom was comfortably large, but a flow restrictor in the shower kept it at barely a trickle, so allow plenty of extra time for a shower. There was a hair dryer, but oddly, no facial tissues. The breakfast was sparse. The only coffee was a regular/decaf blend, no full decaf or full regular and only 2% milk. There was also OJ, fresh fruit, lemon biscotti, some home made banana bread and two cereals. Cell service is iffy, we did not use WIFI and there is a new TV with cable if you forget you are at the lake to relax. The location is quiet, but the lake and visitors center are close by.

--Motel in the area. The quote came from locals I met who used to stay in some of the motels. Make no mistake, its a motel. But, nice. Its only about 15 yards from 74a - so, there is some road noise!
and, I did get some ants in the place - but that didn't bother me.

My family and I stayed in the two bedroom cabin down by the river. It was clean comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly and professional and I would recommend this Inn to anyone!

Staff was very nice on check in. The room was a little dated but very clean. The beds were good and the kitchen had enough of everything you could need. The resort was beautiful. Be sure to get whatever you want from a full grocery store before you go there. There is some shopping but if you want something special get it before you go.

We stayed in the Chocolate Room six months ago and checked in on Dec. 31st, New Year's Eve. We got there at around 10 at night. Many of the other guests and the staff were asleep. The staff had contacted us earlier to let us know that there'd be an envelope on the front counter with our room information and that if we needed anything, we could call. We didn't mind this at all, in fact, we preferred it because it felt more intimate for our couple's getaway. When you walk in, it feels like you're in a really nice luxury vacation rental with a cabin feel. The lounge areas are beautiful and there were Christmas decorations up that made the whole atmosphere cozy. We found our room, which was decorated in a very cozy way. The bathroom was much bigger than I'd imagined it would be with a HUGE tub and there was champagne waiting for us on the desk in our room and a welcome letter. The travel toiletries were a higher-end,which was a nice touch. The actual location of the B&B was on a lake so that was nice. We're in our early-to-mid 20s and were visiting this part of the country to see the Biltmore. Most other guests were a little older, it was a classy crowd. No young college students. Mostly couples. GREAT breakfast. A sweet employee made my honey eggs benedict. Last thing to consider: when planning a romantic getaway is that this property is VERY romantic but not appropriate for loud guests. Almost the entire property has wood floors. Overall, wonderful stay! I'd visit again!
