Location was amazing, right on the beach in the center of town with a lot of stores and restaurants around. Bare minimum hotel, heat did not work. Great place for a last minute stay, hotel employees very friendly, just a musty smelling old room.

I was hesitant to make the reservation b/c of the other reviews; I'm glad I took the chance! The hotel was excellent: unbeatable price, location...and comfort. It is a block away from the best beach in Laguna Beach (protected area). I got the king w/ocean view & balcony and it was absolutely great! The hotel is much better than what you'd expect for a 2 starts hotel. I have stayed in several hotels in the area, Newport, and Huntington Beach and this is the best (if you're looking to be close to the beach without the price tag). I'm bringing my kids in two weeks!
Hotel staff was great; room was spacious and spotless.

The hotel was close to the the beach, though also a little too close to the Pacific Coast Highway meaning that there was a lot of noise from traffic amplified into the room. Overall, the advantages of that proximity to the beach outweighed the disadvantage of the noise from the traffic.
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel does not seem impressive from the outside but the rooms were solid and comfortable from the inside. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided for high quality sleep during the night.
Overall, it was a positive stay and I would repeat the experience in the future.

Stunning views all the way to Catalina, great restaurants very nearby, and a staff with the best service ever. Nick was friendly, funny and made the stay more than just renting a room. He is quite a man and made us feel at home. The room made us feel like VIP's and the layout and access fit right into the cliffs overlooking the beach. Very worth the money, and Laguna is quite an experience from this perspective. I've lived nearby since 1990 and know the Town and area very well, but this stay changed everything. Thanks, Nick, for everything and God bless!

Gorgeous! The spa is nice, but not worth the high prices. My reflexologist was yawning during the 90 minute service. I think when being escorted from waiting room to room they should refrain from loud talking outside rooms of customers getting services. Very distracting. Spa pool area is lovely.

Nice little hotel on the North side of PCH. Hotel is clean, and everything from the laminate wood floors to the pain looks new. My unit faces PCH which gets a lot of traffic, and some of the traffic noise (loud motorcyles!) makes it way up to the room. Maybe newer double insulated windows would fix this minor annoyance. Hotel staff super cool, free parking, and help yourself to free continental breakfast. I didn't go to the beach, which is across the street, so I can't comment on beach access. Overall super nice little hotel, and wasn't that expensive ($144 including 2 queen beds on a Wed. night in January) I'm rating it 5-stars because they gave me the best hotel and service for a great price.

Reality TV portrays Laguna Beach as the land of the young and spoiled. But beneath this veneer is a city rooted in the arts. The Laguna Playhouse is one of the oldest theaters in the West Coast. The city also hosts the annual Festival of the Arts/Pageant of the Masters and the Sawdust Art Festival. West of Laguna Beach, Crystal Cove State Park’s unspoiled beach attracts snorkelers and divers.
