Greeted with Lei and tropical juice drink. Edwin and Rose at front desk were very nice and hospitable, and Isaacs at the concierge desk was friendly and helpful. However, rooms stayed in were dated (thermostat in a room not working and had to call service 3 nights), and also found cockroaches in 2 of the rooms (our room and a family member's).

Amazing beach - I can't say enough about how lovely the water, snorkeling, boggie boarding, chairs and umbrellas, scenery were. The hotel feels welcoming and nice to walk around - it has a sheltered feel because it is on its own but you can walk to the sister resort or take a short drive grab a pizza and Cafe Pesto. We honestly didn't feel like leaving or doing much besides enjoying the beach.

Hawaii in general is expensive to visit. If you can afford it, this is the place to stay. Great hotel amenities, on site car rental and concierge to plan day trips. Spacious and clean rooms. Efficient, attentive, and friendly staff. Delicious food and restaurant options within, and my personal favorite, ocean views. I was in a partial ocean view room which to me had a perfect view, but really when going anywhere on the property you will have spectacular views. I wish we didn't have to leave. I highly recommend this hotel.

Luxury resorts, sprawling golf courses, and white sands line the Kohala Coast – Waikoloa. Hawaii’s sunniest coast is a must-go for beachgoers. It is also known as the cradle to King Kamehameha, Hawaii’s greatest king. His influence can be seen at the nearby Pu’ukohola Heiau National Historic Site, where visitors can see the temple of war he built before unifying the Hawaiian Islands.
